Tradeglaze achieves Secured by Design accreditation

East Midlands fabricator and installer, Tradeglaze, has strengthened its commitment to building safer homes and communities by achieving Secured by Design accreditation for its range of PVC-U windows and doors manufactured at its Lincoln factory.

Tradeglaze says the accreditation gives the company’s trade, construction and commercial customers greater advantage when specifying windows and doors for their projects.

Secured by Design is the official police security initiative, and the recommended standard for many projects, aiming to minimise crime in communities through physical security and design.

Tradeglaze’s newly accredited product range includes its Liniar 70mm PVC-U casement windows, Resurgence flush casement windows, tilt and turn windows, PVC-U entrance doors and French doors.

The certification covers a broad selection of window configurations, providing flexibility for different architectural styles and project requirements.

Tradeglaze customers can now confidently incorporate certified windows and doors into residential developments, refurbishment programmes and other projects where advanced security is a recommendation, or requirement.

Jonathon Price, Head of Production at Tradeglaze, said: “Achieving Secured by Design status is a proud milestone for our entire team following months of dedicated work.”

The process involved independent product testing and certification, alongside production audits and work by Tradeglaze’s team to meet the stringent manufacturing standards.

The company has also undertaken training on system upgrades, with support from PVC-U profile supplier Liniar.

Jonathon concluded: “This will be valuable for our customers, who now have access to a wide range of independently certified PVC-U windows and doors.

“These highly secure products ensure compliance on modern projects and play an important role in building safer homes and communities across the East Midlands.”
