A successful Glasstec for Forel

Glasstec 2026, the international trade fair for the glass industry, has come to a close. Held in Düsseldorf from October 20 to 23, the event brought together companies and industry professionals from around the world.
For Forel, this year’s edition was particularly meaningful, as it coincided with the company’s 50th anniversary.
The company said it was four days filled with meetings, valuable discussions, and new opportunities, during which the team showcased its latest innovations and strengthened relationships with customers and partners from across the globe.
Technologies take centre stage in Düsseldorf
Among the innovations showcased at the Forel booth, the new High Speed Thermoplastic IG Line attracted particular attention.
Designed for high-volume insulating glass production, this solution combines advanced automation, continuous production flow, and the flexibility of thermoplastic spacer technology.
Alongside this, visitors had the opportunity to explore other Forel technologies covering different stages of glass processing:
- Advanced Diagnostics, for monitoring and controlling production processes.
- Spacer Bending System, for processing spacer profiles.
- Fast Grinder, the high-speed, four-head vertical grinding machine.
- EM DM VW Line, designed for flat glass edge processing operations, including grinding and milling.
The trade fair also provided a valuable opportunity to discuss evolving market needs and the challenges facing the glass industry.
These conversations translated into tangible business results, including the signing of major contracts.
A positive outcome that is said to reflect the international market’s continued interest in Forel’s solutions.
Thank you
The success of this year’s event was said to be the result of a team effort involving many people, from the design and development of our technologies to the planning and execution of our participation in the trade fair.
Forel said a special thank you goes to all the customers and partners who visited its booth, showed interest in the company’s solutions, and shared their ideas and perspectives on the future of the industry.
A spokesperson said: “We would also like to thank the entire Forel team, both those who joined us in Düsseldorf and those who worked behind the scenes, for their dedication and contribution to making this event a success.
“See you at the next Glasstec!”
