Ecoglass Announces Three Key Promotions

Family-run glass manufacturer Ecoglass has announced a series of internal promotions as part of its long-term strategy to strengthen operational capability and client relationships.
The Norfolk-based company, which has been producing IGUs since 1947, has built its reputation on technical knowledge, strong partnerships and a deeply embedded culture of care. As Ecoglass continues to scale in response to growing demand, the business is making strategic changes to prepare for its next phase of development.
This latest wave of internal progression is said to highlight Ecoglass’s investment in its people and its long-term vision for sustainable, values-led growth.
Craig Hopper Promoted to Key Account Manager
Craig Hopper, who first joined Ecoglass over a decade ago in the Transport Department, has been promoted to Key Account Manager.
Ecoglass says his career progression through operations and into sales is a reflection of both his commitment and the company’s focus on developing talent from within.
In his new role, Craig will lead the management of Ecoglass’s most valuable client relationships, bringing a decade of operational experience and a strong track record in building trust and consistency.
Mark High, Ecoglass Company Director, said: “Craig is a measured, thoughtful presence who understands how to balance customer expectations with production realities.
“His integrity and approachability make him a natural fit for this next step.”
Craig added: “I’m excited to take this next step at Ecoglass. For me, it’s all about working closely with our customers to understand their needs and help us grow together.”
Operational Leadership Strengthened
As part of the company’s internal growth strategy, long-serving team members James Bishop and Mathew Collins have also been promoted to Operations Manager and Production Manager respectively.
Both have played a critical role in maintaining high quality standards and optimising day-to-day operations. Their in-depth knowledge of Ecoglass’s systems, people and production processes has been central to ensuring consistency and efficiency across the business.
“These are not just well-earned promotions, they’re important appointments as we prepare the business for further growth,” said Mark.
“Both Mat and James understand what makes our operation tick, and they have the respect and trust of their teams.”
Mat commented: “It’s great to take on this new challenge with the same team I’ve grown alongside. There’s a lot to be proud of in how far we’ve come, and we’re focused on taking that even further.”
James added: “We’re not just keeping up with growth, we’re preparing for it, together. That’s what makes it exciting.”
Supporting Sustainable Growth
These internal appointments come at a time of continued investment in Ecoglass’s future. Despite operating in a declining market, the company has reported a 10% year-to-date sales increase, growth driven by a focus on local partnerships, premium product alignment, and increased wallet share from existing clients.
The shift toward local customer acquisition has not only improved service agility and customer collaboration but also helped reduce the company’s delivery-related carbon footprint.
As part of its wider sustainability efforts, Ecoglass is also a member of Ecologi, planting 100 trees for every 10,000 IGUs sold. To date, more than 4,500 trees have been funded through this initiative, supporting the business’s long-term environmental goals.
Looking Ahead
These latest Ecoglass promotions reflect more than just individual progression; they are said to be part of a wider strategy to strengthen Ecoglass from within. By investing in people and aligning leadership roles with company values, Ecoglass is preparing itself for long-term, sustainable growth in a demanding market.
“We’re incredibly proud of Craig, Mat and James,” said Mark. “Their progress is a sign of what we’re building, a company that’s dependable, forward-looking, and ready to meet the challenges ahead.”
