Sobinco opens expanded campus at Belgian headquarters

Sobinco has officially opened its newly expanded campus at its headquarters in Zulte, Belgium, marking a major milestone in the company’s continued growth and long-term commitment to system suppliers and manufacturers of aluminium windows and doors.
Double in size

The family-owned business, which brings more than 60 years of experience to the market, has almost doubled the size of its production and administrative centre from 29,000 to 51,000 square metres. The expansion reflects Sobinco’s strong position as a market leader in the Benelux, alongside rapidly growing export markets across Europe and Asia.
Owned by the Van Parys family, Sobinco has built a financially stable and technologically advanced environment that allows its teams to focus fully on innovation, quality and customer support.
Today, more than 550 employees work across the Zulte headquarters and its sister company, STA, in Maia, Portugal, providing the scale and expertise needed to deliver consistent added value to customers.
A full-spec process for customers
At the expanded Zulte campus, Sobinco carries out all production processes in house, including product development, zinc die casting, plastic injection moulding, surface treatment, assembly and logistics. This high level of vertical integration ensures reliable quality, short delivery times and the flexibility to meet individual customer requirements. The company also offers customised private label solutions, enabling system suppliers to market their own branded hardware without investing in complex production facilities.
The opening of the new campus also underlines Sobinco’s focus on innovation and efficiency. Its Cosmo window hardware system is a recent example, featuring 50 percent fewer components than conventional systems while still covering all window functions, including certified security options. This simplified approach helps manufacturers reduce storage, logistics and installation complexity while maintaining high performance standards.
Bringing production, administration, research, customer service and a showroom together under one roof, the renewed Sobinco Campus is designed to support close collaboration, fast communication and knowledge sharing. The site has been created as both a workplace and a knowledge centre, combining technology, craftsmanship, innovation and design.
Sustainably speaking
Sustainability is a central feature of the campus. More than 3,400 photovoltaic panels generate over 1,500 kWp of electricity, supported by heat pumps, energy efficient LED lighting and intelligent rainwater management. Since becoming operational, the campus has reduced energy consumption by more than 26 percent, reinforcing Sobinco’s commitment to responsible and future focused manufacturing.
With its expanded campus now fully operational, Sobinco is strengthening its role as a reliable, long-term partner, supporting customers with premium hardware solutions, technical expertise and innovative thinking for the future.
