Ecoglass wins NFA for IGU Manufacturer of the Year

Norwich-based glass manufacturer, Ecoglass, has won the IGU Manufacturer of the Year title at this year’s National Fenestration Awards, held in Doncaster on 24 October 2026.

The National Fenestration Awards are voted for entirely by the fenestration community, meaning the nominations and winners are determined by the industry itself, with no involvement from the companies shortlisted.

For Ecoglass, that made the win particularly meaningful.

Gaby Mendham, Joint Managing Director of Ecoglass, said: “When we realised we’d been nominated, we looked around and pointed at each other in confusion.” .

“Only to realise it was our customers who thought us worthy of the honour.”

The business, which has been manufacturing insulated glass units from its Norwich base since 1948, was up against several prominent industry names at the awards ceremony. Taking home the trophy came as a genuine surprise.

“To walk away with the winning trophy honestly means everything,” Gaby added.

“Every time we pledge to go the extra mile, to provide a premium service and to be the best that we can be, we do it because it’s what we think our customers deserve.

“To be recognised for that by the people we work alongside every day means more than words can say.”

The award reflects recognition from across the fenestration supply chain, with fabricators, installers and industry partners casting votes for businesses they believe best represent quality and service in their sector.

Roger Middleton, Director and Co-Owner, echoed the sentiment. He concluded: “This win is theirs as much as ours. We’re enormously grateful to everyone who voted.”
