Window Ware launches fundraising campaign for former colleague

Window Ware has launched a fundraising campaign in support of former colleague, Seb Bousie, who has been bravely battling Motor Neurone Disease (MND) since 2019.
Seb’s story is one of resilience, hope and determination. Diagnosed at the young age of 32 whilst working as Window Ware’s IT Specialist, he defied his initial prognosis and continues to fight the disease five years later. Despite facing incredible challenges, Seb maintains a positive attitude and inspires those around him by supporting various organisations and businesses advocating the development of solutions for severely motor impaired patients until medicine can find a cure.
However, MND is gradually and systematically robbing Seb of his health and independence. Now fully wheelchair-bound, Seb successfully navigates early married life, with his wife Kirsty, but future equipment available from the NHS will only offer the basic option. For Seb to maintain his quality of life, it is essential he can access the right equipment, such as a height-adjustable profiling bed. Without this, he will be forced to sleep in separate rooms, and become a patient rather than a husband, disrupting and changing life as a married couple for ever.
Window Ware’s MD, Sam Nuckey, explains: “Seb’s story is truly inspiring. His motto, ‘Positive Mental Attitude + Strong Mindset = The Power to do Anything you Want,’ encapsulates his incredible resilience in the face of a devastating disease. This unwavering belief and determination serve as a powerful example for business leaders everywhere. By fostering cultures of resilience and seizing opportunities with extraordinary determination, we can achieve the unthinkable and build businesses that are not only successful but also deeply meaningful.”
Window Ware aims to raise £4,000 to help Seb acquire these essential pieces of equipment and they’re hoping their friends and colleagues in the glazing industry will join them in supporting Seb’s fight.
“Any donation, big or small, can make a difference in Seb and Kirsty’s life,” added Sam “Together, let’s help him defy the odds and embrace the motto he shares!”
