VEKA and Burnley FC in the Community launch “40 Good Deeds”

Burnley-based PVC-U systems manufacturer, VEKA, has announced a year-long partnership with Burnley FC in the Community, to mark its 40th anniversary, launching a dedicated campaign titled “40 Good Deeds.”
The initiative will see VEKA support the official charity of Burnley Football Club throughout 2026 through a programme of volunteering initiatives and fundraising activities, reinforcing the company’s long-standing commitment to its local community and Burnley roots.
As part of the campaign, VEKA employees will dedicate their time to help deliver life-changing programmes across Burnley, Pendle, Rossendale, the Ribble Valley and West Yorkshire. The partnership will combine financial contributions with hands-on volunteering and community engagement, with the aim of making a meaningful and lasting impact throughout VEKA’s anniversary year.
Supporting the Community
Burnley FC in the Community currently supports more than 32,000 individuals each year through projects spanning health, education, social inclusion, disability support, female football development and mental health.
VEKA already sponsors the charity’s No Nay Never Dementia Café and Extra Time programmes, and through the 40 Good Deeds campaign, employee volunteers will further support key initiatives including:
- Clarets v Cancer – Offering companionship and encouragement during weekly sessions
- Foodbank & Burnley Together – Sorting, packing and distributing food parcels to families in need
- Veterans Programme – Providing peer support and companionship to local veterans
By donating both time and resources, VEKA employees will help address social challenges such as isolation, wellbeing and healthy ageing within the local community.
Fundraising and volunteering in 2026
Alongside volunteering, VEKA teams will take part in a series of fundraising events across the year, including the Big Burnley Breakout and International Older People’s Day, with further activities planned throughout 2026.
The partnership will run for the full calendar year, with VEKA employees forming mixed-department teams to support Burnley FC in the Community programmes. At the end of the year, the team that pledges the most volunteer time will be recognised as part of VEKA’s anniversary celebrations.
Neil Evans, Managing Director of VEKA, said: “We are immensely proud of our Burnley roots, so supporting the local community is deeply personal to us. As we mark VEKA’s 40th anniversary, we wanted to give something meaningful back. Our ‘40 Good Deeds’ campaign is about more than just financial contributions; it’s about giving time, passion and practical support to make a real difference. We’re proud to partner with Burnley FC in the Community and support the vital work they do across our region.”
Helen Gurman, CEO of Burnley FC in the Community, added: “We are delighted that VEKA have chosen to support Burnley FC in the Community as part of their 40th anniversary celebrations. Their commitment to both volunteering and fundraising demonstrates the powerful role businesses can play in supporting charities and local communities. Together, we will create meaningful change for thousands of people across our region.”
