ForgeFix recognised for industry-wide prostate cancer campaign

Forgefix 2026

ForgeFix has been recognised with the Community Initiative of the Year award at the recent Torque Expo Awards for its ongoing ‘Screw Prostate Cancer’ campaign.

Presented during the awards ceremony at the Telford International Centre, the accolade is said to acknowledge the company’s campaign with Prostate Cancer UK which will see the company raise £100,000 and reach more than 100,000 men.

The award is recognition of the company’s wider commitment to raising awareness of prostate cancer across the construction and merchant sectors, while supporting fundraising for life-saving research and early diagnosis.

The campaign has brought together customers, suppliers and industry partners through a series of fundraising initiatives, including endurance challenges – most notably running four marathons in the four countries of the UK, in a bespoke ‘screw’ costume – charity golf days and awareness events.

ForgeFix has also pledged to donate one per cent of this year’s sales from its Spectre screw range to support the cause and help reach the £100,000 target.

Importantly, the initiative has extended beyond fundraising. By encouraging conversations around men’s health and promoting access to testing, the campaign has already helped identify individuals at increased risk of prostate cancer, demonstrating the impact that industry-led initiatives can have beyond the workplace.

The award was presented as part of the annual Torque Expo Awards, which celebrate achievement and innovation across the fastener and fixings sector.

Hosted by Torque Magazine, the ceremony recognised organisations making a positive contribution to both the industry and the communities they serve.

For glazing professionals, where many businesses operate within the wider construction supply chain, Forgefix says the campaign highlights how manufacturers and suppliers can use their position to drive meaningful change.

Alongside product innovation and commercial success, initiatives that support employee wellbeing and encourage greater awareness of health issues are becoming an increasingly important part of responsible business.

ForgeFix said the award win reflects the collective efforts of everyone who has supported the Screw Prostate Cancer campaign.

With awareness continuing to grow, the company remains committed to expanding the initiative and encouraging more of the industry to get involved.
