The Window Company supports North West Critical Care Charity

The Window Company has reaffirmed its commitment to the local community by donating £500 to the North West Critical Care Charity.

The North West Critical Care Charity is a volunteer-led organisation providing life-saving emergency medical care across the North West.

Supporting critical emergency care in the North West

The North West Critical Care Charity plays a vital role in pre-hospital emergency response. It works alongside the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust to deliver expert medical care when it matters most.

Their team of specialist doctors and paramedics volunteer their time to respond to critical incidents, ensuring advanced medical expertise is available outside of hospitals.

A community effort

The Window Company’s Recycle and Reward initiative helped facilitate this contribution after Dane Smith, a trustee of the charity and local business owner of RiverBank Coffee, reached out for support.

The Window Company’s Managing Director Wayne Shaw responded. Following this conversation, the company was further inspired after hearing from Trainee Responder Dr. Chris Marsh. Chris highlighted the charity’s crucial role in life-saving emergency response.

Why it matters

With annual operational costs exceeding £15,000 and the cost of preparing a single responder reaching £7,400, donations like The Window Company’s are significant. The funds go directly towards purchasing life-saving equipment and sustaining urgent care services.

This year alone, the North West Critical Care Charity has responded to 317 emergencies, including 46 critical cases involving children. These figures highlight the urgent need for community donations to support their life-saving work.

Overall, by contributing to this essential cause and continuing its Recycle and Reward programme, The Window Company remains dedicated to giving back to the local community.
