‘Handlebar Heroes’ aim to raise £30,000 for charity

Four cyclists from the glazing industry, dubbed the ‘Handlebar Heroes’, are gearing up for an unforgettable challenge as they prepare to conquer the iconic Land’s End to John O’Groats (LEJOG) route.

Covering a staggering 966 miles in just eight days—from 17th May to 24th May 2025—the Handlebar Heroes will push their physical and mental limits, all in the name of two incredible causes: Cancer Research UK and Andy’s Man Club.

The industry’s trade heroes taking on the challenge are:

Armed with nothing but their bikes, a whole lot of grit, and a shared mission to make a difference, these four champions will ride the length of Britain – from the rugged cliffs of Cornwall to the breathtaking landscapes of Scotland, the hope is to raise more than £30,000 for charity.

More than just a ride

This isn’t just about sore legs and long days in the saddle—it’s about making a real impact for two charities.

• Cancer Research UK – Funding life-saving research to beat cancer for good.
• Andy’s Man Club – A vital mental health charity breaking the stigma surrounding men’s mental well-being.

The challenge will raise awareness and much-needed funds to support those battling cancer and those struggling with mental health, ensuring no one must face their fight alone.

Glazing industry powering the pedals

The Fenestration Industry is rallying behind the Handlebar Heroes, with the FIT Show (29 April – 1 May 2025) serving as a launchpad to drive sponsorships, awareness, and fundraising.

At the show, attendees can visit dedicated Handlebar Heroes pods, positioned on the MFT, Stand at FIT Show25, meet the cyclists, and take part in exciting fundraising activities.

The event is calling on businesses across the trade to sponsor, donate, and spread the word—because every mile pedalled is a step closer to making a difference.
