GAP donates £5,000 to Maggie’s Stillbirth Legacy

GAP has raised an incredible £5,000 through various fundraising activities for Maggie’s Stillbirth Legacy.
In a brilliant show of support, GAP raised the £5,000 through various activities including, cake sales, raffles, tuck shops, and charity events.
Employees from multiple departments came together to contribute to this important cause. This demonstrated the company’s strong commitment to community support and corporate social responsibility.
Sarah Bernasconi, Founder of Maggie’s Stillbirth Legacy, was recently invited to GAP’s Blackburn head office. She was initially expected to speak about her charity’s mission. However, to her complete surprise, the team presented her with a £5,000 cheque in recognition of her work.
Sarah is dedicated to supporting bereaved families by providing CuddleCots, CuddleBlankets, and memory boxes. The charity, named in honour of Sarah’s daughter, who passed away in 2015, was inspired by her personal experience in the hospital.
Sarah saw the urgent need for more CuddleCots to help grieving parents spend precious time with their baby.
Reflecting on the moment, Sarah said: “I was completely shocked. I’ve never received such a generous donation or had anyone fundraise on my behalf before.
“The effort, planning, and secrecy behind it all left me in awe—especially since I have friends working there who kept it a secret!”
“I am truly amazed by companies willing to support causes like this. They might not realise just how much of a difference this donation will make for so many grieving parents.”
