Epwin’s Tony Lloyd joins forces with colleague to run the London Marathon

Epwin Window Systems’ Customer Service Advisor Tony Lloyd is embarking on the gruelling 26.2-mile London Marathon to raise money for a charity close to his heart
Tony will be doing the London Marathon on 21 April this year on behalf of SpecialEffect, a charity set up to transform the lives of people with physical challenges right across the world through the use of technology.
Tony said: “As someone who has benefited from the help of SpecialEffect and is an ambassador for the charity, I couldn’t be prouder to take on this challenge for them. SpecialEffect assesses a person’s needs and adapts technology to harness whatever controlled movement they have, and creates bespoke gaming setups to enable them to play to the best of their abilities. Being included hugely benefits mental wellbeing and quality of life – bringing much needed independence, fun and escapism.”
Tony will be joined by colleague and Epwin Commercial Director Ray McGrady, who is running on behalf of the British Heart Foundation.
Gerald Allen, Head of Marketing at Epwin Window Systems, said: “Everyone at Epwin Window Systems wishes Ray and Tony the very best of luck. The London Marathon is an impressive feat, not just because of the 26.2 miles on the day but also the months of training that go into getting to the start line. We salute you both!”
