Universal Trade Frames scoops double G-Award nomination

Universal Trade Frames' Richard Hammond

Universal Trade Frames has been named as a finalist in two categories at this year’s G-Awards, securing nominations for both Best Business Initiative of the Year and New Product of the Year.

The Best Business Initiative shortlisting is said to recognise the Shrewsbury-based fabricator’s single-source supply model. Eliminating the inefficiencies of buying from multiple suppliers, such as split deliveries, duplicated admin, and fragmented support, the result is a simpler, more profitable process for installers, from quote to completion.

“A G-Award is the ultimate in industry recognition, and we’re thrilled to be shortlisted in two categories,” said Richard Hammond, Sales Director at Universal Trade Frames. “Our single-source model was built around what our customers told us they needed: reliability, efficiency and simplicity. Being recognised for that strategy is a proud moment for the whole team.”

In addition, the company’s Residence Open-In Door with Smart Security has been shortlisted for New Product of the Year. Combining the classic aesthetics of The Residence Collection with a robust open-in specification, the door integrates smart sensor technology and connected hardware options to support status monitoring and enhanced security, without compromising sightlines or heritage styling.

“By combining authentic timber aesthetics, PVC-U performance and smart security as standard, the Residence Open-In Door with Smart Security offers an industry-first opportunity for installers to add value and win more business,” added Richard. “It’s a great product that truly deserves this shortlisting.”

Universal Trade Frames fabricates from a state-of-the-art facility, maintaining high service levels and a market-leading OTIF performance. The double G-Award shortlisting underscores the fabricator’s commitment to customer-led innovation and consistently high quality across its door and window portfolio.

“Recognition at the G-Awards is a testament to the hard work we put into our entire operation, day in, day out, and it’s a real honour to be in with a chance of winning not one, but two awards,” added Richard.

“We’d like to congratulate all our fellow finalists; we’re really looking forward to raising a glass to the industry and what we’ve all achieved, win or lose, on the night.”
