Strongdor Team Complete Born Survivor Challenge

This September, members of the Strongdor team swapped the factory floor for mud, obstacles, and plenty of teamwork as they took on the Born Survivor Obstacle Course Challenge in support of local charity, Unique Kidz and Co.
Five determined colleagues braved the course, working together to tackle each obstacle and crossing the finish line covered in mud but full of pride. Their efforts raised an incredible £540, which will directly support children and young people with disabilities who benefit from the services offered by Unique Kidz and Co.
Strongdor, a steel door manufacturer based in Lancashire, are passionate about supporting their local community through a dedicated charity team. This latest initiative is part of their ongoing commitment to give back, with the team taking on challenges throughout the year to raise vital funds for four chosen charities.
SHEQ Director, Pam Irvine, commented: “We’re incredibly proud of Team Strongdor for completing the gruelling Born Survivor Military Obstacle Course, one of the toughest endurance events of its kind. It was the most challenging course I’ve ever faced, and I couldn’t have done it without the unwavering support of my amazing teammates.
“A huge thank you to Mark Leeming, Jordan Hodgson, and Jenny Bostock for their strength, spirit, and camaraderie throughout the challenge. Together, we raised an impressive £530 for a fantastic cause, demonstrating not only resilience but also the power of teamwork and community.”
Unique Kidz and Co, founded in 2009 by two mums, Denise and Jane, was created out of a necessity to provide suitable childcare for their own disabled children. Recognising a gap in services, their mission grew to offer children and young people, including their siblings, the opportunity to socialise, play, and make lasting friendships. The charity also supports families by providing safe and nurturing childcare that enables parents to work.
Strongdor look forward to continuing their fundraising journey, taking on new challenges and supporting causes that matter most to their employees and local community.
