SWC Trade Frames Hosts Third Family Fun Day

Scarborough-based SWC Trade Frames recently hosted its third annual Family Fun Day, and this year’s event on Saturday 26 July has been called the best one yet.
Held at the Scarborough Rugby Club, the celebration brought together employees and their families for an afternoon of fun, food, and entertainment.
The five-hour event, organised by SWC’s Social Committee, featured free food, drinks, and entertainment, including inflatables and face painting for children. It was a true reflection of SWC’s family values.
The arrival of legend Graham Dawson was a great addition to an already memorable day.
More Than Just a Fun Day
The SWC Social Committee organised the event. The committee, made up of team members from across departments – including HR, customer service, IT, logistics, office, and production – plays a central role in bringing the workforce together. Throughout the year, the team organises events like bake sales, fish & chip days, our Christmas do, and the Family Fun Day – all designed to give back to the people behind SWC’s success.
Sales Director Mark Catchpole shared his appreciation for the committee: “A huge thank you to Nick, Theresa, Tony, Emma, Kris, Kate and Damon for another outstanding event. Their passion and effort created countless smiles and lasting memories for our team and their families. Events like this are part of our commitment to giving back to the people who make SWC what it is.”
With many staff having celebrated 10, 15, and even 20+ years of service, the committee’s work is both well-received and well-earned.
2025 has seen SWC offering more product choices for customers and expanding its services. That’s why taking time out to celebrate and support the internal team is more important than ever.
Speaking about the day, Mark added: “What more could you ask for? It genuinely felt like a Social Wellness Community – that’s exactly what we’re changing SWC to stand for. Here’s to many more memorable days like these!”
