GGF London duo complete Great North Run 2026

GGF Crystal units 2026

It was a memorable weekend recently for Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) London, as Chair Phil Hallworth of Crystal Units, and Vice Chair Kieran Stroker of ToughGlaze, took on the 2026 Great North Run.

Phil delivered an impressive performance, setting a personal best as he completed the iconic Newcastle-to-South Shields half marathon in 1:44:51.

For Kieran, the event presented a completely different challenge, as it was his first run of this kind.

He was joined by his wife Kerry, who also works at ToughGlaze, with the trio taking part while raising funds for Teenage Cancer Trust.

Their efforts received fantastic support in the build-up to the event, helping them raise an impressive £2,155 for the charity.

Kieran said: “This was my first run like this, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was incredible and the support all along the route was something I’ll never forget.

“Being able to experience it with Kerry made it even more special, and knowing that together we’d raised £2,155 for Teenage Cancer Trust gave us even more motivation to get across that finish line.”

It also reportedly made for a great glazing industry connection, with both the GGF London Chair and Vice Chair completing the event together.

A brilliant achievement for Phil, Kieran and Kerry, and a fantastic fundraising effort for Teenage Cancer Trust.
