Women in Fenestration Network (WFN) joins Glazpartners initiative

Glazpart has announced that Women in Fenestration Network (WFN) has joined the Glazpartners initiative.
Co-Founded earlier this year by Sioned Yates and Sarah Ball, two well-known industry professionals with decades of combined experience across the fenestration sector, WFN is a growing network created to support, connect and champion women across the fenestration industry.
With an aim to bring together women from all areas of the sector, WFN helps create opportunities for development, builds stronger connections and increases visibility for female talent.
With fenestration being traditionally a largely male-dominated industry, there is a growing contribution from women across every area from manufacturing, operations, technical to sales, marketing and leadership.
While progress is being made, many women in the industry still face challenges including limited visibility, fewer development opportunities and a lack of structured support networks.
On joining the Glazpartners initiative, Sioned commented: “We’re delighted to become part of Glazpartners.
“WFN is about bringing people together, sharing knowledge and creating opportunities for women across our industry.
“Working alongside established industry initiatives like Glazpartners gives us another opportunity to build those connections and help more women benefit from the network.”
Sarah added: “One of the things we’re proud of with WFN is that there’s something for women at every stage of their career. Whether they’re just starting out, looking to develop their skills or already in senior positions, we’ve created opportunities through mentoring, professional development and our Industry Inside programme that can genuinely make a difference.
“We’re looking forward to being part of the Glazpartners initiative and building on what we’ve already achieved.”
Dean Bradley, Glazpart Sales Director, commented: “We are delighted that WFN has joined Glazpartners.
“As a unique organisation in the industry, WFN offers women great opportunities to network and get support for all stages in their careers.
“With the quality of the WFN membership, I have no doubt they will bring a lot of expertise to help women and companies in our industry develop and progress.
“We look forward to welcoming WFN to our next event in Manchester on 12 November, which is the PiGs Talking Shop with Glazpartners, held in conjunction with the People in Glazing Society (PiGs).”
Sioned summarised: “With WFN being a Glazpartner, it is yet another step towards our vision, that by investing in women, we will strengthen businesses, develop future leaders and build a better industry for everyone.”
