Two PiGs in a Pod – Lee Manton
In this week’s episode of Two PiGs in a Pod, George is joined by Lee Manton of R W Simon for a wide-ranging chat covering both career and industry insight.
With more than 25 years in the glazing sector, Lee shares his journey from apprentice to General Manager, reflecting on the experiences, people and moments that have shaped his path along the way.
He also gives an overview of R W Simon, exploring the company’s 70-year history and where it sits in today’s market, before looking ahead to what’s next, including plans for FIT Show 2027.
The conversation then turns to trickle vents and the wider topic of ventilation in homes. Lee explains why they remain such an important feature, challenges some of the resistance from manufacturers and homeowners, and makes the case for seeing them as a genuine value-add rather than an inconvenience.
To round things off, Lee takes on the This or That? quick-fire round, revealing whether he’s an early starter or a late finisher, a risk taker or a risk manager, and plenty more besides.
