Two PiGs in a Pod — GGF’s John Mannell
In the first episode of the new season, George speaks to Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) Technical Officer and Training Manager, John Mannell.
John discusses his unique journey into the sector, entering via the route of stained glass, despite having a grandfather owning a fabricating business since the 1950s. John explains how he originally used the GGF for guidance, before becoming Technical Officer over three years ago to provide that guidance to members.
He also discusses recently taking on the role as Training Manager, helping to develop the routes into glazing, via schemes such as Skilled Pathways and GGF Training, and working with companies like Building Our Skills.
Plus, John takes part in our quick fire question round, answering his go-to karaoke song, favourite TV programme, and plans in his role for 2025.
