The Residence Collection Becomes WFN Founding Member

The Residence Collection has officially announced it has become a Founding Member of the Women in Fenestration Network (WFN).
The newly formed organisation held its inaugural Professional Development Day in June, with women from across the country in attendance representing every part of the fenestration supply chain.
Several inspirational keynote speakers took to the stage, including former England Rugby Captain, Catherine Spencer.
Another highlight saw the launch of a mentoring programme, led by Clare Bailey, an experienced commercial leader with over 25 years in senior roles across manufacturing and construction.
Designed for women at all career stages, this programme helps mentees gain confidence, clarity, and industry insight from experienced professionals.
In turn, mentors have the opportunity to share their expertise, offer guidance, and actively shape the next generation of sector leaders.
Following the success of the event, several further initiatives have been organised, the most recent of which took place in July, where the WFN hosted a training day focused on window installation, attended by The Residence Collection Brand Ambassador, Alyssa Jones.
The organisation also launched the WFN Podcast on 27 July, with Jo Trotman and Sarah Hitchings of The Residence Collection joining the inaugural episode due to air shortly.
Late this year brings the beginning of WFN’s lunch and learn programme which will be held at the GGF Headquarters on 15th September in London.
Part of WFN’s Lunch and Learn regional training programme, invites women from across the sector to take part in bite size training sessions, with the first one focussing on Confidence and Imposter Syndrome.
A final in-person event of 2026 will then take place in Birmingham, where industry professionals will meet for networking, then hit the Christmas Markets together.
Jо Trotman, Sales and Marketing Manager at The Residence Collection, commented: “We are absolutely delighted to become a founding member of the WFN after a brilliant first event. It was great to see so many attend from all corners of the industry come together.
“Having a strong network of industry professionals, with regular events, a dedicated mentoring programme to help women navigate their career progression, hands-on training days, and opportunities to build skills, bridging the industry’s skills gap, and inspire future leaders gives women in the industry a real sense of community.
“We hope these initiatives will encourage more women to start and progress their careers in fenestration.”
