Strengthening Partnerships: CiiLOCK and CAB

Katie Wilson, Product Marketing Specialist at CiiLOCK Engineering, discusses forging and maintaining industry relationships, with particular focus on the Council for Aluminium in Building (CAB).
CiiLOCK Engineering’s hardware solutions are designed to support PVC-U, Timber, and Aluminium profile systems. With such a broad scope, they know the value of strong partnerships and working closely with industry associations to drive innovation and growth across the sector.
One of our longest and most successful collaborations is with the Council for Aluminium in Building (CAB). As proud members for over a decade, our partnership with CAB continues to go from strength to strength.
Earlier this year, CiiLOCK made our FIT Show debut, exhibiting on the CAB stand alongside fellow members. The event was a resounding success, and showcased what collaboration within the industry can achieve.
CiiLOCKs involvement doesn’t stop at exhibitions. Members of the UK team contribute individually to CAB initiatives:
- Katie Wilson serves on the CAB Members Marketing Board, helping to shape future events and opportunities.
- Paul Proctor represents CiiLOCK at CAB Technical Meetings, ensuring they stay at the forefront of technical developments within the aluminium sector.
Reflecting on the partnership, Steve Hopwood, General Manager of CiiLOCK Engineering, , shared: “We take great pride in our Association membership and involvement. The team at CAB all work incredibly hard to support their members with events, guidance and technical information. Our membership has afforded us many fantastic opportunities over the years and the chance to showcase our offerings in the Aluminium sector.”
This collaborative spirit was further highlighted when CAB’s Nigel Headford and Jessica Dean recently visited our Stafford offices.
Katie commented: “It was great to see Nigel and Jess. We had a wonderful afternoon discussing all things Aluminium. I also really enjoy being part of the CAB Marketing Board—it’s a great way to support the association and contribute to shaping events and opportunities for members.”
Looking to the future, CiiLOCK’s relationship with CAB remains a cornerstone of our growth strategy. By working together, we can continue to drive progress, foster innovation, and create valuable opportunities for the entire aluminium building community.
