Star in the STY: Carly Graham

To celebrate the PEOPLE of the glazing sector who regularly support all things PiGs, we make them our Star in the STY, as a small thank you for their support. This week’s Star is thinkivity AI’s Carly Graham!
Name: Carly Graham
Company: thinkivityAI
Been going to PiGs since: 2022
Favourite PiGs location: Birmingham! Although the scenery from London in July was something, such a beautiful Capital we have.
Tipple of choice: Hugo Spritz
What’s the best thing about PiGs? Seeing old faces and meeting new ones in a relaxed environment, no suits or sales pitches needed! We’re all busy being busy, but PiGs gives us the time to actually have a proper conversation without the constraints of the day. In my view, AI might help us claw back some time, but it will never replace the connection you get face to face.
What makes PiGs different from other industry events? It starts with conversations, not agendas. And usually ends with dancing moves you’d never see outside a PiGs event.
Who’s someone you love catching up with at a PiGs event? This is a really hard question! That’s tough because the events are always packed with lovely people. It’s great to hear what Sam Weber (UKO) is up to next, and Michelle Wright (Glazerite) is an industry favourite and legend. And if all else fails, George from PiGs is always ready with a friendly hello and a smile to welcome you!
Most memorable PiGs moment (either at an event or an event in particular)? Elton Boocock’s dad dancing. It’s a staple at every PiGs event, and the moves are… unforgettable.
Where in the world would you take PiGs to if you could? Ireland. We’ve been working with some brilliant Irish teams on their AI journey, and I love their no-nonsense approach. It probably helps that I’ve got Irish roots myself! And if not Ireland, then Tokyo for the perfect mix of tradition and tech.
Who should come to the next PiGs event (in one sentence)? Anyone in glazing who wants to feel part of a community where people matter most. Even as we embrace new tools like AI to shape the future, people will always be at the heart of this industry and the relationships PiGs events bring.
