Safeware introduced into trade counter network

Hardware distributor, Safeware, is being introduced across Quay Plastics, Shepherds, National Plastics and PBS trade counters to meet growing demand for replacement window and door hardware.
The move follows a successful trial with an alternative supplier, which confirmed strong demand for replacement hardware at counter level.
Safeware has been selected as the long-term partner to deliver a structured, scalable and professionally supported solution.
Rob Hartill, Commercial Director at Safeware, said: “There is a clear appetite for replacement hardware within the trade counter environment.
“This launch enables us to introduce a credible, well-supported offer that aligns with the Epwin Trade Counter proposition and delivers real value for both the business and its customers.”
The rollout will initially cover 21 trade counter branches across four regions, providing a controlled platform to evaluate performance and refine the offer ahead of wider expansion.
Andrew Kent, Regional Director at Specialist Building Distribution, said: “The trial clearly demonstrated the potential for replacement hardware within our branches.
“By partnering with Safeware, we are giving customers access to quality products, specialist expertise and dependable availability through a trusted trade counter network.
“This initiative demonstrates how different parts of the Epwin Group can work together to strengthen the customer proposition.
“By combining our branch network with Safeware’s hardware expertise, we can create additional sales opportunities, enhance customer service and support future growth across the business.”
In the short term, success will be measured through sales growth, increased average order values and positive feedback from customers and counter teams.
Longer term, the ambition is to establish Safeware as the trusted replacement hardware solution across the wider Epwin Trade Counter network.
