SafeGuard appoints new experienced Sales Manager

SafeGuard Glass and Glazing has appointed Mark Worthington as Sales Manager for its installations division. With over 16 years of experience in UK sales roles across windows, doors, and building materials, Mark is said to bring a wealth of industry knowledge to his new role.
Mark’s background includes senior sales and leadership roles in the glazing industry, where he developed expertise in both retail and trade markets. His experience spans fabrication processes, marketing, and customer engagement, making him well-positioned to strengthen the installations side of SafeGuard’s business, delivered through the SGI brand.
Mark said: “My career has given me a strong understanding of the glass and glazing industry, from production through to customer engagement. Joining SGI is an exciting opportunity to work with a company that has deep roots in the industry and a talented, experienced team. I’m looking forward to supporting the growth of SGI by driving brand awareness in the local market and building lasting relationships with customers.”
In his role, Mark will focus on driving new business, maintaining repeat customers, and developing a robust sales team. He is also tasked with increasing awareness of SGI’s offerings, which include PVC-U windows and doors, composite doors, aluminium bi-folds, sliding doors, and living spaces.
Mark added: “Our goal is to ensure that SGI is recognised for its quality and reliability, by leveraging our industry expertise and prioritising customer satisfaction, we aim to deliver excellent value to our customers while expanding our market reach across Peterborough, Stamford, Oakham and the surrounding areas.”
Nick Welsh, Managing Director of SafeGuard Glass and Glazing, commented: “Mark has already made a strong impression during his initial months with us. His commitment to building relationships with customers is clear, and we’re excited to see the impact he has on our installations division.”
Building on the SafeGuard Glass and Glazing business, that has been operating in the region for 30 years, there are big plans for SGI in 2025, including the complete renovation of its Peterborough showroom.
