Why it’s important to you to sponsor: (NAT) I’m from Spondon, so they’re local to where I grew up, and several of my friends’ children play for the team. I remember lots of the lads I went to school with playing for Spondon Rovers when we were all younger, and it’s lovely to see such a big population of girls involved in the sport – we didn’t see much of this growing up. They’re a smashing bunch of ladies, with such amazing characters, and they’ve been so welcoming when I’ve visited them – I grilled them all with some quick fire questions and they were fantastic!
