PiGs partners with Building Our Skills as new media partner

PiGs AKA People in Glazing Society, the UK’s top networking group and online media outlet for the glazing industry, has partnered with Building Our Skills – Making Fenestration a Career of Choice as an official media partner.
This collaboration is driven by a shared mission to bring together those already working in the industry, while also promoting the glazing sector to new generations amidst the ongoing skills shortage.
For over two decades, PiGs has provided a vital platform for professionals across the glazing supply chain to connect, collaborate, and share ideas, and since 2024, became a vital online media outlet to promote the people side of the glazing sector.
Attracting the next generation
Now, with this strategic partnership, PiGs will help amplify Building Our Skills’ efforts to attract fresh talent into the sector by shining a light on the opportunities available within the industry.
“Glazing is an essential industry with a huge amount to offer to both those already in it and those potentially entering it, yet we face a growing skills gap,” said Sarah Ball, STY Master at PiGs.
“By joining forces with Building Our Skills, we can leverage our network to raise awareness of the rewarding careers in glazing, from the top of the supply chain to the bottom.”
Through its fortnightly newsletter that goes out to 12,500 people in the industry, extensive website, and growing social media reach, PiGs will actively support Building Our Skills’ initiatives, ensuring that industry insights, success stories, and career pathways are highlighted to both current professionals and those considering a future in glazing.
PiGs was in attendance during the first Building Our Skills Careers Festival in Barnsley last year and will once again support the festivals by publicising them and the positive impact they have on the glazing sector.
This new partnership marks a significant step between the two to ensure the industry remains appealing to the workforce of tomorrow.
