PiGs Bristol becomes the hottest ticket in town

Despite sweltering temperatures of over 34ºC, the latest PiGs AKA People in Glazing Society networking event in Bristol saw over 190 from the UK glazing sector descend to the South West for an evening of networking, discussion and industry insight.
Taking place Brown & Bye on the Bristol harbourside, the event once again brought together manufacturers, installers, suppliers and industry bodies in a relaxed and informal environment.
Before the main evening networking event kicked off at 5pm, attendees arrived early for the latest PiGs Talking Shop with Glazpartners session, a technical-focused discussion for those wanting to get the latest industry insight from organisations such as sponsors Glazpart, the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) and the BFRC.
The main networking event also saw an increased number of women from the fenestration sector attending the PiGs event, some for the first time, after the successful inaugural Women in Fenestration Network (WFN) Professional Development Day earlier in the day.
Sarah Ball, ‘Sty Master’ for PiGs and Founder of the Women in Fenestration Network said: “It was an incredible day for women in the industry and it was brilliant that so many joined us for PiGs in the evening after the WFN Professional Development Day held earlier in Bristol.
“WFN was a hot topic of conversation with both men and women at PiGs.”
George Lewis, Editor at PiGs, added: “To have record numbers for our Bristol event, despite the conditions, is a testament of how important the PiGs networking events are in the glazing calendar.
“It was amazing to see many familiar faces, but a whole host of new ones too.
“Thank you to everyone who attended, sponsored and engaged with the event. We can’t wait to do it all again in Newcastle on 24 September.”
