Made for Trade boosts operations with new Northampton hub

Made for Trade has announced a major expansion of its UK operations with the acquisition of Dimensions House, a new 110,496 sq. ft production, distribution and showroom facility in Northampton.
The investment is also supported by new Schirmer machinery to further enhance manufacturing quality and capacity.
The strategically located site will reportedly strengthen Made for Trade’s national distribution network, allowing larger trunking deliveries into Northampton before smaller, more frequent regional deliveries to customers across the UK.
This hub-and-spoke model will improve efficiency, increase capacity and enhance service levels.
The new facility will also feature a dedicated Midlands showroom where customers can experience the expanding Korniche range.
Trade partners will be able to use the showroom to present products to homeowners in a professional environment.
Dimensions House will reportedly play a key role in Made for Trade’s future growth, including production of the upcoming Korniche Window system, expanding the company’s ambition to offer customers a complete aluminium glazing solution from a single supplier.
The investment follows several recent product launches, including the Korniche Internal Glass Partition in custom colours, aluminium finishing trims, stock Textured Black finishes for bifold and sliding doors, and the upcoming Korniche Entry Door.
Once complete, Korniche Flat Glass and FlatLite production will relocate to Northampton, creating additional manufacturing space in the North East for future product development.
Chris Wann, Director at Made for Trade, said: “Dimensions House is a major step forward for Made for Trade.
“It gives us the space, location and operational flexibility we need to improve capacity and service levels for our customers, while also supporting the next stage of growth for the Korniche product range.
“Our customer base is national, and this site helps us serve that market more efficiently.
“By using Northampton as a distribution hub, we can improve how we move products around the country and support customers with more frequent, responsive delivery routes.”
Chris added: “The upcoming Korniche Window is another key part of our strategy.
“It expands our range and takes us closer to a one-supplier model, giving customers access to more of the aluminium glazing products they need from one manufacturer, backed by strong stockholding, short lead times and the service levels they expect from Made for Trade.”
The expansion also supports the continued growth of the Korniche brand through consumer marketing and national exhibitions, creating increased demand for trade customers.
Made for Trade are showcasing its latest products at the remaining 2026 Homebuilding and Renovating Shows, at the following locations:
- London ExCeL: 18–20 September 2026
- Harrogate Convention Centre: 30 October–1 November 2026
