After the success of our ‘Guide to speaking Bristolian’, we have invoked the help of North East native, Glazerite Group’s Jeff Dunn, to help ‘learn the lingo’ before PiGs Newcastle on 22 August.
Alreet –> Translation : Hello
They’re a right workyticket –> Translation: They are a pain in the bum
Dee as yer telt –> Translation: Do as you are told
Are ye comin wiwu –> Translation: Are you coming with us
I divvina –> Translation: I don’t know
I’m in a fettle –> Translation: I’m in a bad mood
Gan canny –> Translation: Be careful
Haddaway and sh*te –> Translation: You are very much mistaken
