An experienced Window Designer system subject matter expert and looking for a great opportunity?

MacGregor Recruitment are recruiting for a Business Systems Analyst on behalf of our client who are a manufacturer and supplier of UPVC windows and doors to trade.

Reporting to the CFO and participating in board level strategy meetings you will be responsible for the management, technical support and future development of the Window Designer system, their critical IT infrastructure system linking customers to the production floor.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst (with some software engineering know-how!) to x-ray a critical business IT system, fix issues and strategically plan and execute a system development roadmap.

Business Systems Analyst role:

  • System management and frontline user support, including interface to application supplier
  • Leading an end-to-end system review, along with current and future mapping exercises
  • The analysis, diagnosis and improvement of business processes and any areas of sub-optimal performance within the Window Designer system
  • Adding and amendments of products and pricing changes (gross, discounts and markups)
  • Business MI reporting, including operational dashboard and reporting of the findings, risks and proposed solutions to the board
  • Designing and implementing system solutions to any problems, and developing comprehensive end-to-end (E2E) test cases at the application and multi-application levels
  • Carrying out training sessions and workshops to guide relevant teams.

Skills and Experience:

  • Specific experience of maintaining and managing Window Designer (database, application management and support) is essential
  • Experience of reporting platforms and toolsets (e.g. PowerBI), MS Products and experience working with CRM, ERP and MRP systems is essential
  • An in-depth understanding of database design and management, including SQL and data modelling.
  • The successful candidate will have excellent problem solving skills, self motivated and have good prioritisation and time management skills

Package:

  • The role has an anticipated package of up to £65k DOE.
  • 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays, Life assurance & pension and healthcare
  • The position will be primarily a home based position, with some travel to site, so the location is flexible with it being a WFH role.
