Jade Engineering steps up for Coventry’s promotion celebrations

Coventry-based manufacturer, Jade Engineering, has delivered a rapid-turnaround solution to support the city-wide bus parade and music festival attended by nearly 250,000 fans.

When Coventry City Football Club celebrated its long-awaited promotion to the Premier League with a city-wide open-top bus parade and live music festival in early May, organisers needed a last-minute engineering solution to help bring the event together.

With an estimated 250,000 fans lining the streets and filling the city centre in celebration, Event Support Team faced a critical challenge just days before the event: 135 lollipop signs required poles in time for the parade and festival operations.

That’s when Jade Engineering and its specialist fabrication division, JadeBespoke, stepped in. Working against a 72-hour deadline, the JadeBespoke team fabricated and assembled all 135 metal poles in-house, ensuring the signage was ready in time for one of the city’s biggest public celebrations in recent memory.

“EST was tasked with supporting the city-wide celebration of the football team’s return to the Premier League with a bus parade music festival on Bank Holiday Monday and had produced 135 lollipop signs that were missing poles.

“JadeBespoke came to the rescue, fabricating all 135 metal poles, and assembling them inhouse within the 72-hour time frame given before the big event.

“When you’re called in to facilitate the biggest end of season party of the City, there’s no limit to what you won’t do!”
