Hayley Windows “overwhelmed” by Installer Award win

During the glitz and the glamour of the recent GGP Installer Awards, it was Hayley Windows who celebrated a fantastic award win, picking up the Best installation – residential (up to £20,000) gong.
For the Midlands-based company, and its Director Laura Molineux, it was the reward for 30 years of providing top quality products and a comprehensive installation service to its customers that was first started by her father Mike.
Laura took over the business from Mike six years ago, and since then Laura and her Co-Director Kelly Easthope, who has been in the business for over 10 years have worked hard to build the local family firm and brand online.
She said: “What dad did for the business was fantastic, and the company became very well-known and established locally because of the hard work he and Kelly put in. When I took over from him, with Kelly we decided to focus our attention on showcasing more of the excellent work the company had produced online, such as sharing more images from projects, and regular updating them on the website and on social media.
“We also wanted to elevate our internal business systems and processes, along with our branding so we can attract new customers from a wider area and through different sources.”
The winning project from Hayley Windows aimed to maximise light entering a new extension and showing off the gable shape to the customer’s roof.
Laura explained that what made the project an eye-catching and now award-winning one was the precision in the design and survey, ensuring the bifold and top gable window lined up and all elements were finished together in a stylish way.
She said: “We wanted to go that step further with offering a complete bespoke installation, to tie the three elements together, single door, bifold and window, and two structural steels that needed covering.
“We had made bespoke aluminium pressings which were then powder coated to match the windows and doors. This offered a more seamless join of all the products and ensured the same material was used throughout.
On picking up the Installer award win, Laura said it was a very overwhelming moment, especially with Kelly not able to attend with her.
She explained: “I attended the awards on my own as Kelly was on holiday! So we were both gutted to not be able to take the stage together to collect the award.
“Having industry recognition like this means so much as it is living proof our hard work of ensuring we are offering the best products, service and working to our ethos my father always stood by of being an honest, friendly and professional firm.”
