Epwin’s Tony Lloyd wins silver for England

England Golf’s Disability Teams, which includes the glazing sector’s very own Tony Lloyd, both picked up silver medals in both the European Championship and the Nations Cup.
Tony, Epwin Window Systems’ Customer Service Advisor, was part of a quartet including Aimi Bullock, Phil Meadows and Thomas Blizzard, who managed to overcome the Netherlands by just 3 shots in what was an exciting finish in the European Championship event.
In the other event, just a single point separated England and Ireland, resulting in a silver medal for Heather Gilks, Dave Reaney, Kris Aves and Oliver Hirst- Greenham.
Tony is well known to many within golf as the “short arm golfer”, a name given to him because he has a condition called phocomelia, which means he has short limbs. But this hasn’t stopped him having an impressive career within golf, winning many events and plaudits alike.
Outside of golf, Tony regularly fundraises for charity, which included this year the London Marathon, which he did on behalf of SpecialEffect, a charity set up to transform the lives of people with physical challenges right across the world through the use of technology.
