Emplas confirmed as Glass Conference main sponsor

Emplas has been confirmed as as a main sponsor of the Glass Conference, taking place in Telford on Thursday 17th October.

Launched as a partnership between the Glass & Glazing Federation (GGF), FIT Show and FENSA, the Glass Conference will be held at the Telford International Centre, and says it promises to deliver unique insight into product development and innovation, supply chain regulation, and training and skills, helping to shape the future of the glass and glazing sectors.

Jody Vincent, Sales Director, Emplas said that the event would support installers in gaining an understanding of key areas of innovation and product development.

He said: “Our sector is going through an immense period of change. Regulation is redefining expectation of window and door performance. Sustainability and evolving product choice is also changing end-user expectation.

“We’re also seeing a shift in the way that we operate as an industry with an increasing focus on professionalism.

“Innovation in IT, is being mobilised by leading window and door manufacturers and glass companies, including Emplas, to deliver far more flexible levels of service.

Nickie West, FIT Show & Glass Conference Event Director, said that Emplas’ support for the event was important in building the event’s reach amongst installers.

She said: “It’s a huge coup to have the support of Emplas as a main sponsor for the inaugural Glass Conference this October.

“Emplas has recognised the importance of bringing the industry together to discuss and address the latest industry changes via the Glass Conference platform and we’re already working with the team to shape the learning programme.

“The GGF and FENSA are playing a key role in delivering an installer audience to the conference and it’s already shaping up to be an exciting couple of days for the whole industry.”

Jody continued: “For us it’s about identifying the areas of commercial advantage for our customers and capitalising on them. A lot of that innovation is product and manufacturing led, but innovation in IT has been critical.

“If you’re an installer it’s really worth taking the time to look around and see where the industry is moving. Your business needs to evolve because your competitors are evolving their models and adapting their approaches.

“The Glass Conference brings the industry together and supports you in making an informed choice about the future direction of your business.”
