Dekko appoints Simon Dorney as Business Development Manager

Dekko Window Systems has strengthened its commercial team with the appointment of highly experienced Simon Dorney as Business Development Manager.
Simon, who started in the industry in 1990 after leaving the Armed Forces, joined the business three months ago and brings more than 35 years of fenestration industry experience to the role.
He has held senior sales positions with some of the sector’s best-known names including Exlabesa, Reynaers, VEKA and Hurst Plastics.
Having built an extensive network of contacts throughout his career, Simon says he was attracted to Dekko’s reputation.
“I’ve known of Dekko for many years and had always heard positive feedback,” he said.
“A lot of people I know in the industry said it’s a good firm to join and I couldn’t have asked for more since I got here. It’s a breath of fresh air to work for a company where everyone is pulling in the same direction.”
In his new role, Simon will focus on finding new business opportunities and supporting Dekko’s continued growth plans.
“There’s no hiding from the fact the market is tough at the moment, but there are always opportunities if you look hard enough.
“If you do the job correctly, you’re a reliable supplier and you provide a good product at a realistic price, there will always be opportunities.
“It’s a cliché but if you look after your customers and give them what they need, then you will retain business and gain new business. And that’s what stands Dekko in such good stead.”
Dekko Managing Director Kurt Greatrex said: “Simon brings decades of experience and we’re delighted to have him on board.
“Investing in talented people like Simon demonstrates our confidence in the future and the opportunities ahead, and his industry knowledge and understanding will play an important role as we continue to grow.”
