Clayton Glass Swindon opens with July event

Clayton Glass is set to open another strategically placed site in Swindon this year, with a planned open day on Thursday 10 July.
The new Swindon site will become the 7th tempering and IGU operation in the Clayton business, and complete the company’s goal of nationwide – yet local UK coverage. It’s also the first site for over a decade that’s been purpose designed and fitted out, with the previous five being acquisition driven.
“We’ve long supplied a dedicated customer base from Gloucestershire, through Wales, into Devon and the South coast”, said Ryan Green, Owner and Director of Clayton Glass.
“We’ve done that really successfully from our other operations, so what better way to reward this loyalty and show long term commitment to those accounts, than opening up in their back yard.
“Strategically we made a decision long ago, to create a geographically spaced network of interconnected manufacturing facilities, all fully equipped and of scale between 10,000 and 25,000 units per week. This, for us at least feels far more reactive and flexible than the super site model, and since all on shared software we can partner these sites together for planning purposes, making it a much more robust way to deliver true service to our customers.
“We’re now delighted to be able to showcase this facility, and would welcome anyone to come and see what we have to offer, and more importantly how we can make a difference to your own operation through true teamworking and support.”
Clayton Swindon’s open day will include some collaborators, and also of course SASSV, the company’s unique training and resource vehicle, ewhich recently premiered at the FIT Show.
