Strongdor Team Take on Charity Hike For Alzheimer’s Support

Steel door manufacturer Strongdor has once again demonstrated its commitment to community support by taking on a 12-mile hike in aid of Alzheimer’s Society, a charity that holds special meaning for many at Strongdor.
Despite soaring temperatures of up to 29 degrees, the Strongdor team of 10 tackled the 12-mile challenge with determination and team spirit. The perseverance of all those involved paid off, with the team raising an impressive £577, surpassing their original fundraising target of £500.
Reflecting on the event, Amy Burrow, HR Director at Strongdor, who took part in the hike, said: “What an incredible day we shared together. It truly embodied the spirit of team building, resilience, and shared purpose. From start to finish, the energy, determination, and support shown by everyone, whether walking or part of the support crew, were nothing short of inspiring.
“Despite the relentless heat, we pushed through as one team, always looking out for and lifting one another. Most importantly, we did it all for a cause close to many of our hearts. Thank you to everyone who took part, supported, and donated. You’ve made a real difference.”
More to come
This event is said to mark just the beginning of Strongdor’s ongoing commitment to supporting the Alzheimer’s Society, with more fundraising efforts planned in the coming months.
For over 40 years, the Alzheimer’s Society has been at the forefront of the fight against dementia, working to improve the lives of those affected by the condition.
The organisation provides vital support, guidance, and care to people living with dementia and their families, offering help both over the phone and in person.
Donations like those raised by the Strongdor team help fund these essential services and ongoing research into better treatments and ultimately, a cure.
The Strongdor team concluded: “A huge congratulations to everyone who took part in the hike, and said a heartfelt thank you to the team, along with family, friends, and supporters who donated. Your generosity is helping make a real difference in the fight against dementia.”
