Roseview in full swing for charity

Four directors from Roseview Windows have taken part in the G72 golf challenge, in support of the Princess Alice Hospice.
Princess Alice Hospice provides free palliative and end of life care for patients and their families. The hospice recently looked after a close family member of the Roseview team. In response Roseview held the charity event to support the Hospice’s work with much-needed funds. In doing so they raised £6,570.
Roseview’s directors took on the G72 golf marathon, playing four full rounds of golf in 24 hours. Describing the challenge, Roseview director Tim Bygrave said: “Four rounds of golf in a single day is surprisingly difficult, especially when none of us have played for years. Choosing what turned out to be the hottest day of the year didn’t help either! We teed off at 5am, just as the sun was rising. The last putt went in at 9pm as the sun set. We only stopped for half an hour in the middle of the day.
“Over the course of the day, between us we played thousands of shots and lost dozens of golf balls. But the sense of achievement when we’d finished and—more importantly—the money raised for Princess Alice Hospice definitely made it worthwhile.”
Roseview’s managing director Richard Burrells also took part in the challenge: “It turns out that seventy-two holes in a one day is really tough. But it was well worth it, given the reason we were doing it and the charity we were supporting.
“On behalf of Roseview I’d like to thank all the customers, suppliers and friends who have been so generous with their donations. We did this at short notice, so for people to have donated more than £6,500 in a few short weeks is fantastic. I’d also like to thank REHAU, who not only donated financially, they also supplied all the golf balls. We needed them!”.
