Our Sty-Master Sarah Ball to take on 100-mile charity bike ride

Sarah Ball, Sty-Master for PiGs aka the People in Glazing Society, is gearing up for an incredible feat of endurance as she is set to embark on Skegvegas 2024, a 100-mile charity bike ride in support of Derby Kids’ Camp. The ride on Saturday, 18 May, promises to be a demonstration of community spirit and goodwill for Derby Kids’ Camp.
Event organisers Cosy Direct, is supporting the Skegvegas charity bike ride. Cosy is aiming to build on the tremendous success achieved in previous years by Terry and his dedicated team, which saw over £21,000 raised in 2023. Cosy is committed to continuing this tradition of generosity and support for Derby Kids’ Camp.
Riders will set off between 6:30 and 7:30 am on 18 May from The Queens Head in Ockbrook, Derby, on this challenging route. The ride finishes at the site of Derby Kids’ Camp in Skegness to offer riders a sense of accomplishment and the opportunity to witness firsthand the impact of their fundraising efforts.
The Skegvegas charity bike ride is open to all, with no entry fee required. However, participants are encouraged to set a personal fundraising goal of at least £100 each, contributing to the collective effort to support Derby Kids’ Camp and the invaluable services provided by Derby Kid’s Camp.
Sarah Ball, a keen cyclist signed up for the cycle ride at the 50th anniversary celebrations for the charity. She said: “I am happy to be taking on this challenge alongside fellow supporters of Derby Kids’ Camp. Every mile we ride and every pound we raise will make a difference in the lives of children.”
The Skegvegas charity bike ride represents more than just a physical endeavour, it symbolises the power of community and the commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of the deserving children through staying at Derby Kids’ Camp.
