A Seasoar adventure for industry duo

Team Seasoars, a group of dedicated and adventurous individuals, are gearing up for an incredible feat of endurance and determination – rowing across the Atlantic Ocean. This bold and ambitious endeavor, known as the Worlds Toughest Row, will test their physical and mental strength, as well as their unwavering spirit of adventure.
The team, consisting of four rowers, namely two industry veterans Sam Weber and Jason Wilder plus two non industry members Niall Brannigan & John Watling have been training rigorously for 18 months to prepare for this epic journey. With countless hours spent on the water, building stamina and honing their rowing techniques, they are ready to embark on this extraordinary adventure.
The Atlantic Row will see Team Seasoars rowing approximately 3,000 miles from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Antigua. They will face Mother Nature at her rawest, monstrous waves, and the vastness of the open ocean. The team’s goal is not only to conquer this physical challenge but also to raise awareness and funds for a cause close to their hearts “ Lyme Disease UK”.
Throughout their journey, Team Seasoars will be supporting Lyme Disease UK, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and ultimately to find a cure.
Sam Weber is no stranger to adventure and pushing the limits of human capabilities. He has climbed two of the highest mountains in the seven peaks (Kilimanjaro & Aconcagua) plus a Jungle Survival Course in the Amazon Rainforest with an Amerindian Tribe and a former SAS officer.
He said: “For most people the physical side to rowing the Atlantic captures their imagination, however the rowing campaign starts at least two years prior to the actual race! Deciding to row, making the commitment, building a team, setting individual & team objectives, sourcing and leaning about the never ending kit and equipment list, nutrition (how important is that)
hydration (how fundamental is that) preparing for the dangers, learning to row, sea survival, navigation, first aid, team dynamics, mission statement and of course the spectre of fundraising….. £120k-£150k just to get to the start line!
“I have been a keen fundraiser for over eight years raising over £250,000 for local and national charities. This has taken me to Africa & South America climbing some of the highest mountains in the world to the Amazon Rainforest taking part in a Jungle Survival Course. Rowing across the Atlantic Ocean was once the ultimate dream, but now is an awesome reality!”
