With operations in the Netherlands, France and the United Kingdom, the company said it is focusing on further stability and controlled growth.

Following an analysis of the organisation and its operations, adjustments have been made to the structure and management model. These measures result in clearer responsibilities, faster decision-making and improved alignment with the markets in which Kawneer Europe operates.

NorDan UK has announced the acquisition of RED Systems, a UK-based specialist in architectural glazing, curtain walling and façade systems.

The move reportedly marks a significant step in NorDan’s UK growth strategy, strengthening its early-stage design, compliance expertise and building delivery capabilities to expand its offering beyond high performance windows and doors into a more integrated building envelope solution.

By combining NorDan’s expertise in high-performance timber and aluminium-clad windows and doors with RED Systems’ façade capability, the business will offer a more integrated approach to building envelope design and delivery. This aims to support earlier project involvement, improve coordination across systems and reduce risk at key interface points.

Craig Greenwood, Managing Director of NorDan UK, said: “We’re really pleased to welcome RED Systems into NorDan UK. This is about bringing together two businesses that already share a strong focus on quality, collaboration and delivery.

“For our customers, it means a stronger, more capable delivery proposition. We’re strengthening our ability to support projects earlier, work more closely with partners and ultimately deliver better, more coordinated outcomes on site.”

RED Systems is said to have established a strong national reputation for delivering aluminium architectural glazing and SFS commercial projects with an expert design, supply and installation service. RED Systems has completed over 500 projects during the course of its 22-year history across the UK on large residential, commercial, education and leisure sectors.

The business is reportedly known for its early-stage involvement in projects and its ability to support clients through detailed design coordination and technical delivery, including multiple Building Safety Act gateway submissions.

Michael Green, Managing Director of RED Systems said: “We’re proud of the business we’ve built at RED Systems, particularly our reputation for delivering high-quality, design-led façade solutions.

“In NorDan, we’ve found a partner that shares our values, our approach to quality and our long-term commitment to clients. This was an important decision for us, and it was critical to align with a business that strengthens, rather than changes how we operate.”

Set against NorDan’s centenary year, the move is said to reflect the Group’s continued evolution of its capabilities, extending its approach to more integrated and accountable building envelope solutions in response to increasing complexity across the construction sector.

Johannes Rasmussen, CMO NorDan Group and member of the NorDan founding family, also pointed to the shared values underpinning the partnership, noting the strong alignment between the two organisations in how projects are approached and delivered, and the importance of maintaining that consistency as the business continues to grow.

Dag Kroslid, CEO of NorDan Group, added: “Across the NorDan Group, our focus is on maintaining high standards of quality and performance, while continuing to develop our capabilities in line with the needs of our customers and the markets.

“The investment in RED Systems is a new important step for NorDan in the UK market that brings together complementary expertise and strengthens how we support our customers across the building envelope. It reflects our consistent approach to growth, where quality and long-term performance remain central.

“The announcement of this joint venture is a proud moment for NorDan, and we look forward to a great cooperation with RED Systems.“

Soudal, said to be the largest independent European manufacturer of sealants, adhesives and PU foams, has officially cut the ribbon on its new 50,000ft² National Distribution Centre.

The opening of Soudal’s new warehouse facility took place in late February, where members of the Soudal UK team and guests gathered to celebrate the company’s ongoing growth and success. Councillor Debbie Bates, the Mayor of North Warwickshire, officiated the ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside Michael Gamble, Managing Director of Soudal UK.

This major new investment is said to represent Soudal’s ambitions for further growth, as well as commitment to the UK market. Coinciding with Soudal UK’s 30th anniversary year, the investment demonstrates significant confidence in the strength of operating within the community of Tamworth.

Forming part of Soudal’s long-term growth objectives, the new facility will reportedly enhance operational efficiency and strengthen national distribution capabilities.

Michael Gamble, Managing Director at Soudal (UK), said: “The opening of our new Tamworth warehousing facility marks a significant step in our growth strategy for the UK market. The warehouse will operate simultaneously with our current operations in Wilnecote, Tamworth, dramatically increasing our warehouse capacity and facilitating our plans for future growth. The new premises will enable us to continue delivering exceptional levels of service to our valued customers as we expand.”

Based in Tamworth for over 20 years, Soudal UK carefully selected the new site close to its existing offices in Wilnecote. This expansion will more than double current warehouse capacity, enabling the company to hold a wider range of products and respond to growing customer demands.

For installers, the increased capacity means greater availability and reduced lead times, helping to maintain a reliable supply chain and keep projects moving without delays, even during periods of high demand.

This major milestone is said to reinforce Soudal’s commitment to innovation, service, and sustainable growth.

Independent trade fabricator, Fentrade, has completed the purchase of a new 10,539ft² facility, which is said to mark a significant step forward in the company’s ongoing growth journey.

The move to the new premises, with a planned completion by May, will mark an important milestone for the Newport-based fabricator, providing the space and infrastructure needed to support rising demand and the next stage of its growth strategy.

With expanded production, office and space for a showroom area, the new site will reportedly ensure Fentrade can scale without compromising the service standards it is known for.

Chris Reeks, Managing Director of Fentrade, commented: “This purchase is a direct result of the progress we’ve made over recent years. Demand for our products continues to grow and the new premises gives us the capacity and flexibility to build on that success while maintaining the reliability our customers expect.”

“The increased footprint allows for higher production capacity alongside improved operational flow, helping to safeguard dependable lead times as volumes increase. Chris added: “Consistent delivery is non-negotiable for our customers. The additional space ensures we can continue to deliver on time, in full and without pressure on quality as the business grows.”

Alongside manufacturing improvements, the relocation also brings expanded office facilities to support more streamlined internal workflow.

The enhanced working environment will reportedly enable the team to remain responsive and accessible, from same-day quotations through to technical support when it matters most.

Chris commented: “Our customers rely on us to make their supply chain simpler. That responsiveness and availability will always be central to how we operate.”

A dedicated showroom is also being incorporated into the new premises, extending Fentrade’s customer support offering. The space will allow visitors to view products up close, explore specification options and demonstrate finished products to their own clients.

Chris added: “The showroom will create a more collaborative environment, giving our customers the opportunity to showcase quality and innovation, helping them add value and unlock new upselling opportunities.”

The new premises at 2A Adelaide Street, Newport, is located just a few miles from Fentrade’s current site, allowing the business to retain its strategic position close to the M4 motorway. This ensures continued rapid access to the national transport network and supports the company’s fast turnaround and delivery performance.

Fentrade was acquired by Aluminium Vision in 2025, a move that is said to have unlocked investment, and provided the platform for further expansion. The relocation is the latest in a series of strategic steps taken since the acquisition, reinforcing Fentrade’s position as a trusted fabricator for both commercial and residential aluminium projects.

AluFold Windows has detailed the structured, supply-only operating model now embedded at its manufacturing facility in Blackburn – purpose-built to support repeat residential and commercial aluminium work at scale.

Eight months on from the acquisition of AluFold Direct by Unique Window Systems in June last year, AluFold Windows is said to be continually refining its prominently positioned factory within one of northwest England’s most recognised manufacturing hubs.

The 70,000 sq/ft space can be found at Whitebirk Industrial Estate, near the M65 corridor in Blackburn, and the scale and visibility of the site reflect the structured operation now embedded inside.

“The new factory has been a defining step for the business,” said Managing Director, Neal Addison. “Moving machinery into a facility that’s genuinely fit for purpose has allowed us to improve production flow, strengthen operational control and create an environment that has been designed for long-term scale from day one.”

AluFold Windows reportedly operates strictly as a supply-only fabricator, committed to working alongside customers rather than competing with them. The business has simplified its aluminium offer around core, repeatable systems, working more closely with partners at specification stage to reduce complexity before orders reach the factory floor.

“Aluminium can feel complicated because of the number of systems and options available,” said Commercial Director, Rhodri John. “Our role is to simplify that – agree the right solution early and work with installers and contractors from the outset, so they move forward with the confidence of a truly expert, extended team behind them.”

Supported by Unique Window Systems at every stage, AluFold Windows’ focus is on disciplined production, early-stage technical collaboration and dependable aluminium fabrication for customers seeking a long-term, supply-only partner.
