FIT Show has partnered with the Women in Fenestration network to launch a new ‘Give to Gain’ campaign for the recent International Women’s Day (8 March), celebrating the women who are shaping the future of the fenestration, glazing and installation sectors and the businesses that actively support them.

The collaboration will see FIT Show and Women in Fenestration shine a spotlight on female talent from across the industry, share practical ways for companies to support gender balance, and use FIT Show 2027 as a live platform to continue those conversations on stage, on stands and across the show’s wider community.

‘Fully represented and visible’

Nickie West, Event Director for FIT Show, said: “FIT Show has always been about bringing the industry together – fabricators, installers, systems houses, component suppliers, machinery manufacturers and more. If we want a stronger, more innovative and more sustainable sector, we have to make sure women are fully represented and visible in every part of that picture.

“‘Give to Gain’ is a simple idea: when we give our time, platforms and networks to support women, the whole industry gains in return – new ideas, better decisions and a richer talent pool.”

She added: “International Women’s Day is an important moment, but for FIT Show this is not a one-day campaign. We’re committed to working with Women in Fenestration right through to the 2027 event and beyond – from how we shape our speaker programmes to who we commission for case studies, interviews and mentoring opportunities.

“We want FIT Show to be recognised as a place where everyone can see themselves represented and where the next generation of women can picture a future in our industry.”

Sending a powerful signal

Founded by Sarah Ball, Women in Fenestration has quickly grown into a dedicated community for women working in all roles across fenestration and glazing – from the factory floor and onsite installation to technical, design, marketing, leadership and ownership.

The network provides peer support, mentoring, learning opportunities and a platform to share experiences that are often under‑represented in mainstream industry forums.

Sarah Ball, founder of Women in Fenestration, commented: “When industry leaders like FIT Show choose not just to talk about diversity but to share their stage and their channels with women, it sends a powerful signal. It tells women already in the sector that their contribution matters, and it shows new entrants that there is a place for them here.

“‘Give to Gain’ is about recognising that every introduction, every speaking slot, every offer of support has a ripple effect – women gain confidence and opportunity, and businesses gain loyal, skilled people and stronger teams.

“We’re thrilled to partner with FIT Show because of the reach and influence the event has across the supply chain. By working together on content, speaker line‑ups and visibility for Women in Fenestration members in the run‑up to, and during FIT Show 2027, we can move beyond celebration and into real, practical change.”

Showcasing women from the sector

As part of the ‘Give to Gain’ activity, FIT Show and Women in Fenestration will run a series of stories featuring women from across the show’s community – including installers, exhibitors and suppliers – and explore how acts of “giving” translate into shared success. Examples include:

Installers who give their time mentoring apprentices and new entrants, and gain the reward of seeing the next generation grow in skill and confidence.

Sales and commercial leaders who share their networks with women moving into customer‑facing roles, and gain stronger partnerships and more diverse teams.

Technical and training specialists who give their knowledge through CPD sessions and toolbox talks, and gain fresh perspectives and better solutions by working with mixed teams.

These stories, which will be shared across FIT Show’s and Women in Fenestration’s channels throughout the year, form the foundation of a wider programme that will feed directly into FIT Show 2027. Plans include:

Encouraging exhibitors and partners to nominate women for speaking slots, panel discussions and case studies as part of the show’s learning and content programme.

Creating more visible opportunities for women to contribute to debates around skills, standards, sustainability, digitalisation and business growth.

Showcasing Women in Fenestration at FIT Show 2027 as a hub for networking, mentoring and peer support.

The initiative builds on FIT Show’s position as a key platform for the industry – a place where businesses launch products, form partnerships and discuss the issues that will shape the market over the next cycle.

“By weaving ‘Give to Gain’ into its communications, exhibitor support and seminar programming, FIT Show reportedly aims to help the sector move from talking about inclusivity to embedding it in everyday practice.

Everyone can ‘give to gain’

Nickie added: “Whether you’re a business owner, a team leader or a colleague on site, everyone can do something to ‘give to gain’ – recommending a female colleague as a speaker, making an introduction, offering mentoring, or simply making sure women’s voices are heard in meetings. Our role at FIT Show is to amplify those efforts, celebrate the positive examples and keep the conversation going long after International Women’s Day has passed.”

Sarah concluded: “The fenestration industry has incredible women at every level; what we’ve lacked historically is the visibility and connectivity to bring them together. This partnership with FIT Show helps to change that.

“We’d encourage anyone who believes in a more inclusive, future‑ready sector to get involved – by joining Women in Fenestration, by nominating speakers and case studies, and by using FIT Show 2027 as a chance to show what genuine collaboration looks like.”

Women in Fenestration Network (WFN) is a dedicated community created to connect, support and inspire women across all roles in the fenestration and glazing industry – from manufacturing and installation to sales, technical, marketing and leadership.

The network will host its first Professional Development Day on 25 June 2026 at the Harbour Hotel in Bristol – an industry‑first, women‑only event featuring headline speaker Sara Harling, structured learning sessions and valuable networking opportunities focused on women’s progression and confidence. Order your Early Bird ticket for just £75 plus VAT here.

Hörmann UK has announced it will be returning to the FIT Show, with reportedly its largest and most ambitious presence to date, said to underline its long-term commitment to the UK domestic door sector.

2027 will see Hörmann UK with double the floor space compared to previous years, located prominently at the entrance of Hall 9, across two adjoining stands, L20 and M30. This expanded footprint will give visitors the opportunity to discover, experience and engage with Hörmann’s extensive range of garage and entrance door solutions.

Dedicated space for front doors

Stand L20 will be dedicated exclusively to Hörmann’s front door portfolio, creating a clear and focused environment in which visitors can explore the full breadth of the company’s entrance door offering.

The stand will showcase the Hörmann Truedor composite range alongside their steel and aluminium entrance doors, allowing visitors to examine design flexibility, construction quality and advanced security features in depth.

The adjoining stand will feature Hörmann’s market-leading range of garage doors. The display will represent some of the most popular door types currently specified in the UK market, including sectional and roller doors – demonstrating product functionality, performance and end-user benefits in a practical and accessible way.

“Hörmann Home”

Bringing both stands together will be an overarching show theme titled “The Hörmann Home”, designed to illustrate how Hörmann’s entrance and garage door solutions integrate seamlessly into everyday living environments.

In addition, Hörmann is exploring plans for a Wednesday evening networking event, alongside a programme of visitor engagement activities, with further details to be revealed closer to the show.

Wolfgang Gorner, MD at Hörmann UK said: “While preparations are still at an early stage, our plans for FIT Show 2027 signal a bold and confident approach. The 2027 show will see us with increased space, clear product focus and enhanced engagement activities all designed to deliver maximum value for visitors and reinforce Hörmann’s strong position within the sector”.

A ‘cornerstone of FIT Show’

Nickie West, FIT Show Event Director added: “Hörmann has been a cornerstone of FIT Show for many years, and their decision to come back in 2027 with a bigger, bolder presence is a huge vote of confidence in both the event and the UK domestic door market.

“Doubling its footprint at the entrance to Hall 9, with a clear focus on ‘The Hörmann Home’, will set the tone for visitors from the moment they arrive and underlines exactly what FIT Show is about – showcasing best‑in‑class innovation, creating meaningful engagement on the stand, and helping brands and their customers do better business together.

“By joining the line-up ahead of the year-out mark, Hörmann will be able to maximise collaborative campaign planning that extends far beyond three impactful days at the NEC.

“It’s about sustained, year-round exposure through segmented email marketing, social amplification, and strategic PR – building serious momentum long before doors open, and showing exactly why early commitment delivers such powerful, measurable ROI for best-in-class brands.”

In our series of case studies from companies that exhibited at FIT Show 2025, we hear from Quickslide, who delivered a monumental show, even winning a post-show award!

Quickslide has been a longstanding and highly respected exhibitor at FIT Show, consistently delivering vibrant and engaging showcases that highlight its innovative product range and commitment to installer success.

Reportedly known for its ability to blend creativity with industry expertise, Quickslide’s presence at the show is always a highlight, drawing visitors with compelling demonstrations, interactive experiences, and a clear focus on supporting its trade partners.

This case study explores how Quickslide turned a last-minute FIT Show 2025 entry into an award-winning campaign, highlighting their marketing success and setting the stage for continued growth and innovation at FIT Show 2027.

Harnessing creativity and community to drive show success

Although Quickslide joined the FIT Show 2025 lineup later in the campaign than many other brands, the company reportedly quickly made its mark with high-energy, innovative social media content and engaging on-stand presence.

Known for their dynamic marketing approach, Quickslide combined excellent planning with fast execution to generate the highest visitor numbers at the show, amplifying their reputation as a fun, innovative, and community-driven brand.

A Campaign That Captured Attention

Sandra Berg, Marketing Manager, explained: “So much of social media these days is not about having something to say but having people take part and join in.

“Our Social Media Executive, Lucy Chisem, is brilliant at encouraging participation – literally dragging people out of their comfort zone. The energy from the footage perfectly reflects the enthusiasm Quickslide brings every day.”

Starting with a playful “phone call” video featuring Quickslide;s Sales Director and FIT Show’s commercial manager, Rik Henderson, Quickslide promoted their last-minute show entry with humor and personality. Regular countdown posts spotlighted product features, showcased staff proudly wearing FIT Show-branded gear, and built anticipation.

During the show, the team launched the Legacy Protect window with a standout video, and kept energy high through behind-the-scenes clips, team Q&As, and interactive Instagram Stories that broadened their reach within the trade community.

Standout Social Media Moments

The campaign peaked with the creation of a Quickslide song and music video, inviting visitors to contribute dance moves. The resulting crowd-sourced video resonated widely, delivering some of the highest impressions and engagement numbers Quickslide has seen on LinkedIn and Facebook.

These impressive results translated into tangible business wins, with a strong response from both existing customers and new prospects.

Many familiar faces placed follow-up orders shortly after the event, while a significant number of new connections were identified as high-value opportunities with strong long-term potential.

Building on Success at FIT Show 2027

Quickslide’s rapid rise at FIT Show 2025 proves the power of creativity combined with bold execution. Sandra concluded: “Marketing is truly the lifeblood of everything we do, and the entire team is committed – from factory floor to boardroom – to creating campaigns that support our trade partners.

“FIT Show gave us the perfect stage to showcase what we do best, and the challenge now is to take it even further in 2027.”

Nickie West, FIT Show event director, added: “It’s always a pleasure working with professional and experienced marketing teams like Quickslide’s, who know FIT Show almost as well as we do. They need little to no guidance from us to create impactful, high-energy campaigns that immediately align with and amplify our overarching show narrative.

“At FIT Show, we value brands that treat us as an extension of their marketing team – whether handing us a clear set of KPIs or trusting us to develop proven success strategies. Quickslide exemplifies this collaborative spirit, making them a true partner in driving engagement and creating memorable industry moments.”

As part of its drive to re‑establish the brand as a premium trade partner, AluK, a designer and manufacturer of aluminium window, door and façade systems for the residential and commercial markets returned to FIT Show 2025 to bring its ‘Upgrade Your System’ campaign to life on the show floor.

The team set out to showcase not only its products, but also the service, training and technical support that the company says sets it apart.

Stand‑out results

The response to AluK’s presence at FIT Show was said to be exceptional. The stand was consistently busy, generating more than 300 enquiries from prospects and helping the team reconnect with existing customers.

The S67 slider, a hero product on the stand, went on to win Product of the Year at the G‑Awards and has reportedly since become the best‑selling slider in the AluK range, with sales running at around 300% above target.

AluK said the IconiK bifold, soft‑launched at the show, created such a buzz that seven fabricators were ready to come on board as soon as it was officially launched in December. Nearly 30 of the enquiries generated at FIT Show have already converted into new AluK customers.

“FIT Show was the perfect platform to prove that AluK is back where it belongs – as a premium, full‑service partner for fabricators and installers,” said Russell Yates, Managing Director of AluK UK. “We were able to showcase our latest products, but just as importantly demonstrate the depth of technical, software and marketing support that sits behind them, all under one roof.”

A VIP journey for fabricators and installers

AluK’s primary target audience at FIT Show was said to be fabricators, supported by installers looking to source AluK products via the company’s fabrication partners.

To deliver an “upgraded” experience that matched the campaign message, AluK created a full VIP journey: a branded entrance, bespoke lanyards, VIP invitations, goodie bags and access to a dedicated AluK party with street‑food buffet, DJ, saxophonist and cocktails.

AluK says the stand itself was carefully zoned to highlight new products, 360‑degree support, Academy training and technical services, with guided product tours delivered via headsets to ensure every visitor received focused, relevant information.

Service, support and live demonstrations

Beyond product, AluK used FIT Show to shine a light on the support that underpins its offer.

A dedicated technical support desk allowed customers to ask in‑depth questions and book one‑to‑one “software surgeries” on LogiKal, while the marketing team were on hand throughout the event to help partners access upgraded sales and marketing collateral.

A hospitality area gave AluK fabricators space to host their own customers, reinforcing the sense of partnership.

The company also made full use of the live features across the show: in the installer demo zone, the team demonstrated how to fit the S67 slider and even ran a timed challenge to prove it could be installed in around 15 minutes, while seminar slots – including an Aberporth Primary School case study and a materials panel featuring Russell Yates – helped to elevate the brand story.

“From a marketing point of view, FIT Show allowed us to bring ‘Upgrade Your System’ to life in a really tangible way,” added Alex Gallop, Marketing Director at AluK. “Every element – from the stand zoning and guided tours to the VIP party and seminar content – was designed to give our customers an upgraded experience and show how we can help them grow.”

Collaboration in action

Collaboration was said to be a key theme of AluK’s FIT Show strategy. For the Aberporth Primary School seminar, the team invited Fentrade Managing Director Chris Reeks, and architect Mathew Tench to join them on stage, adding real depth and credibility to the case study.

On the stand, AluK hosted Rhino Aluminium to showcase its new aluminium entrance door, giving Rhino access to AluK’s audience of fabricators and installers and generating strong enquiry levels for both businesses.

Reflecting on AluK’s participation, FIT Show Event Director Nickie West said: “AluK showed exactly what can be achieved when a brand commits fully to the FIT Show platform. They used every touchpoint – from their stand and VIP activity to the demo zones and learning programme – to create a joined‑up experience for customers. It was a powerful demonstration of how We FIT Together as an industry.”

Advice for future exhibitors

Reflecting on the experience, AluK’s key takeaway is the value of early, close engagement with the FIT Show organisers. By sharing its objectives well in advance and working together on opportunities – from branded VIP entrances and lanyards to seminar slots and shared marketing – they were able to deliver a joined‑up ‘Upgrade Your System’ experience that extended far beyond the stand itself.

Its advice to future exhibitors was simple: treat FIT Show as a partnership, be clear about what success looks like, and use every platform the event offers to bring your brand story to life.

In 2025, Safeware, said to be the go-to supplier for Epwin Window Systems fabricators, made its FIT Show debut as an independent exhibitor, introducing its extensive range and industry expertise to the broader market.

With over 2,500 SKUs, reportedly over 70 trusted supply partnerships and a track record of quality, reliability and customer-focused innovation, Safeware is said to be now reaching beyond its traditional base to support every PVC-U and aluminium fabricator.

Building Visibility and Market Reach

The primary goal for FIT Show 2025 was to connect Safeware with the wider industry – expanding our historic service model, building brand credibility, and generating high-quality leads through face-to-face engagement. The show’s unique format provided Safeware with the essential platform to collaborate, share insights, and demonstrate our development as an all-round hardware solutions partner.

Rob Hartill, Commercial Director at Safeware, said: “FIT Show 2025 was a pivotal moment for Safeware. We welcomed the chance to strengthen old relationships and forge new ones with fabricators, installers and system houses, now offering our hardware expertise and operational excellence industry-wide.

“From tailored technical advice and standout new products to our proven supply chain reliability – every conversation at the show reaffirmed our commitment to quality, support, and innovation.”

Tangible Results and Successes

Safeware’s debut at FIT Show reportedly generated more than 240 stand conversations, with 69% of visitors requesting follow-up meetings. These personal engagements, supported by a robust pre- and post-show campaign, led to a 527% spike in website traffic and a 325% rise in leads and enquiries after the event.

Key outcomes:

527% increase in website traffic (Apr–Jun 2025)

325% rise in leads/enquiries (Feb–Jun 2025)

69% of stand visitors requested follow-ups

2,814% boost in social media impressions; 133% increase in followers (Mar–Jun 2025)

Engaging Industry Audiences

Fabricators – across all system types – were said to be the most engaged group, with strong interest also from installers, distributors and system houses. Safeware teams delivered free hardware audits, bespoke advice and cost-saving strategies. Safeware said these conversations led not only to immediate follow-ups, but also to ongoing project support after the event.

Showcasing Innovation

Safeware unveiled the new 3* Cylinder with patented ALPS technology, and the Yale SensCheck smart system integrated into a Stellar Heritage aluminium window – bringing together classic design and smart functionality in what Safeware said is an industry-first. Our premium bifold hardware and door solutions for Stellar also attracted attention and sparked meaningful dialogue.

Networking and Knowledge Sharing

Late-night networking events and interactive learning sessions drove further engagement, allowing Safeware to build deeper industry connections and openly discuss sector issues. Participation in technical programme debates by Epwin Window Systems Technical Director, Phil Parry, reportedly reinforced Safeware’s collaborative reputation.

Looking Ahead

The impact of FIT Show 2025 has reportedly shaped Safeware’s strategic direction for expansion, partnership building, and continued innovation ahead of FIT Show 2027. Safeware said the show validated its market approach and reinforced the vital role of face-to-face industry dialogue.

Nickie West, FIT Show Event Director, commented: “Safeware’s show debut was a real highlight – demonstrating how established brands can expand, evolve and inspire fresh energy in the sector. Their commitment to innovation and operational excellence made a positive impact for visitors. Safeware’s participation truly reflected the spirit of our ‘We FIT Together’ campaign, showing the value of partnership and industry engagement.”

Advice for Future Exhibitors

Safeware recommends planning a fully integrated campaign before, during, and after the show to build a strong narrative and lasting engagement. Invest in impactful stand design, prioritise meaningful customer follow-up, and use every interaction – online and offline – to reinforce your brand vision.

The Shrewsbury-based fabricator offers an extensive range of high-quality PVC-U and aluminium windows and doors, including the expanded Residence Collection, Optima Flush from Epwin, Spectus Vertical Sliders, and Solidor composite doors.

At FIT Show 2025, UTF unveiled key products from the Residence Collection, including the Residence Open-In Door with Smart Security and the updated Spectus Vertical Sliding Sash Window featuring a slimmer 37mm meeting rail for enhanced aesthetics and performance.

Its Solidor composite door range also reportedly attracted significant attention for combining style with advanced security features.

A Breakthrough Presence at FIT Show 2025

FIT Show 2025 marked a milestone for Universal Trade Frames. The company’s busy stand welcomed installers eager to explore the updated Residence Open-In Door with smart security integration, the refined Spectus Vertical Sliding Sash Window with a slimmer profile, and the stylish, secure Solidor composite doors.

The introduction of UTF’s single-source supply service – which enables installers to order windows, doors, and glass from one trusted supplier on a single deliverywas a standout innovation demonstrating their commitment to simplifying installer operations and reducing on-site complexity.

This success was capped by UTF’s double shortlisting at the G-Awards for Best Business Initiative and New Product of the Year, showcasing its leadership in innovation, product development, and customer service.

Richard Hammond, Sales Director, reflected: “FIT Show 2025 was the perfect platform to demonstrate our commitment to quality and innovation. Our customers valued the opportunity to see our products up close, understand the benefits of our single-source supply model, and connect with our team. We left inspired and excited to build on that success at FIT Show 2027.”

Leads and Partnership Work – ‘We FIT Together’

After just six months, UTF is reportedly already seeing a 77% ROI and consistent month-on-month sales growth, thanks to a proactive approach to lead management. Supported by a telecan company working closely with their field sales team, UTF has left no stone unturned in pursuing every lead generated from FIT Show, resulting in amplified results and increased brand awareness.

Richard noted: “I recently featured on the Two PiGs in a Pod podcast where I referenced the FIT Show as the culmination of a huge amount of good, hard work. We have expanded our sales team from one to two Area Sales Managers since the show, evidencing the growth driven by our FIT Show participation.”

Richard also highlighted the importance of partnerships during the show: “I gained a lot from the Exhibitor Enhancement Day, making great connections there. Our supply chain partners, particularly Jo Trotman from Residence, were instrumental in recommending our stand builder, which proved to be a real success. Yale and Solidor provided brilliant support on the stand, helping to showcase our joint offer.”

He added: “The UTF in-house team was incredibly supportive, inspiring a ‘go big or go home’ mentality that powered our show presence. This wouldn’t have been possible without the confidence and leadership from the UTF leadership team.”

Setting New Standards

At FIT Show 2025, Universal Trade Frames showcased its continued reinvestment in cutting-edge manufacturing technology, demonstrating how precision engineering enhances product quality and operational efficiency across their extensive range.

The company’s bold new guarantee, “If it’s Faulty, it’s Free,” was officially launched at the show and drew significant attention from visitors, reinforcing UTF’s confidence in its high standards and commitment to installer peace of mind.

This guarantee resonated strongly with installers visiting the stand, who appreciated the assurance of reliability and the support mechanisms that UTF provides—key factors contributing to UTF’s rapidly growing reputation and strong market positioning.

Single-Source Supply – Simplifying Installer Success

UTF’s single-source supply service was another major highlight at FIT Show 2025. Visitors responded enthusiastically to how the streamlined ordering and delivery process reduces lead times and eliminates typical site challenges. This integrated service maximizes installers’ profitability while further cementing trust in UTF’s customer-centric approach.

Richard reflected: “FIT Show was the perfect platform to bring our key initiatives to life. Allowing installers to meet the team behind the products and experience firsthand the quality and innovation on offer helped us build strong customer relationships. It truly demonstrated the real value of partnering with Universal Trade Frames.”

Looking Ahead to FIT Show 2027

Looking ahead to FIT Show 2027, UTF plans to leverage its momentum by expanding product ranges and deepening trade partnerships to elevate industry standards further. Richard emphasised: “‘We FIT Together’ means partnership in every sense – from quality products to shared ambitions and growth. Successful collaboration is fundamental, and FIT Show is the place where these partnerships are built and flourish.”

Nickie West, FIT Show Event Director, said: “Universal Trade Frames truly exemplify the spirit of ‘We FIT Together.’ Their commitment to innovation, partnership, and lead management has not only driven impressive growth but also strengthened the fabricator and installer community within the industry. FIT Show is proud to be the platform where companies like UTF can showcase their successes and build even stronger connections ahead of 2027.”

Since its launch in 2013, FIT Show is said to have evolved from a predominantly PVC‑U and aluminium showcase, into the UK’s most comprehensive meeting place for the fenestration, joinery and timber supply chain.

That journey has mirrored the market’s own shift: a renewed appetite for sustainable, high‑performance timber solutions, more specialist joinery content, and a growing international presence.

By 2025, FIT Show brought together 10,129 individual visitors and 5,325 companies over three days at the NEC, with 300 exhibitors spanning windows, doors, glass, hardware, roofing, smart tech – and, increasingly, timber. For joiners and carpenters, the show now reportedly offers more relevant content, more kit, and more connections than at any point in its history.

Timber demand on the rise

The 2025 Post Show Report highlights a clear uplift in visitor interest across material categories. While aluminium, PVC‑U and composite still headline, timber now accounts for over 9% of all material interests recorded, with “timber systems” representing more than 16% of systems‑related interest.

That is a significant signal, particularly against a backdrop of tightening sustainability expectations, whole‑life performance considerations and end‑user demand for natural, low‑carbon solutions.

Nickie West, Event Director for FIT Show, sees this as a tipping point rather than a blip. She said: “Timber has always had a place in fenestration, but what we’re seeing now is a real shift from ‘niche’ to ‘necessary’”, she explains. “Visitors are actively seeking out timber windows, doors and façade solutions – not just for heritage or high‑end projects, but as part of mainstream, fabric‑first strategies. Our 2025 data shows that appetite clearly, and we’re building on it for 2027.”

That appetite is reflected in the visitor breakdown. Among the 10,000+ professionals who attended in 2025 were 559 joiners, nearly 2,000 fabricators, more than 2,500 installers and a substantial cohort of building, construction and property development professionals – all key decision‑makers for timber and hybrid specifications.

From fenestration show to joinery destination

A decade ago, FIT Show was primarily seen as a windows and doors event. The 2025 edition, by contrast, featured a much broader mix of products and services: from timber and aluminium systems to machinery, materials, fixings, coatings and ancillary tools.

Live installation content in the Installer Demo Zone – with input from master carpenter, joiner and specialist builder Robin Clevett – CPD‑certified seminars and the launch of the Marketplace feature meant visitors could see joinery products in action, get hands‑on with tools, and buy equipment directly at the show.

This broader platform has created a natural home for timber‑focused initiatives such as The Joinery Network. For FIT Show 2027, that relationship is being strengthened and expanded, with more coordinated activity planned for joinery manufacturers, bespoke timber firms and mixed‑material fabricators.

Andy Ball from The Joinery Network believes the timing could not be better. He said: “The market conversation around timber has moved on. It’s no longer just about aesthetics; it’s about carbon, circularity and long‑term performance.

“For independent joinery shops and larger timber window manufacturers alike, FIT Show 2027 is the place to see what’s coming next – from systems and coatings through to machinery, software and routes to market. Our goal with FIT is to make sure joiners don’t just feel welcome; they feel that the show has been built with them in mind.”

Leading timber and joinery brands already recognise FIT Show’s value as a growth platform. In 2025, exhibitors included Empress Timber, Advance Joinery Group, Reddish Joinery, Wyre Forest Woodcraft, and Your Timber Windows – all showcasing engineered timber systems, bespoke window solutions, and sustainable manufacturing alongside hardware, glazing and coatings specialists.

Several also partnered with The Joinery Network at the show, creating dedicated zones for live demos and networking that drew installers, fabricators and specifiers.

This mix proves FIT Show works for timber window and door manufacturers, bespoke joinery firms, machinery and tooling suppliers, coatings and finishing experts, timber systems houses and hybrid material fabricators – any business serving panel production, site joinery or high‑spec carpentry projects looking to connect with over 10,000 decision‑makers who typically spend £100k–£500k annually.

International timber and new routes to market

Another notable shift between FIT Show’s early years and its 2025 edition is the growth in international exhibitors and solutions. Visitors now travel from every part of the UK, alongside a growing contingent of overseas brands using FIT Show as a launchpad into the British market.

For joiners and timber‑led manufacturers, this means direct access to overseas suppliers of engineered timber, glazing systems, hardware, coatings and specialist machinery under one roof.

This internationalisation is amplified online through FIT Show 360 – the show’s virtual tour platform – which allows exhibitors to extend the life of their stand and reach global audiences beyond the three days at the NEC.

For timber businesses operating in both domestic and export markets, that combination of live and digital exposure is increasingly valuable.

Building towards 2027: what’s in it for joiners?

Looking ahead, the FIT Show team has been explicit that feedback from 2025 is directly informing the 2027 strategy. Visitor product interest data shows strong growth not only in timber, but also in related areas such as glass, materials, roofing and machinery – all critical components in modern joinery and carpentry workflows.

Nickie outlines how this will translate on the show floor: She said: “For FIT Show 2027, we’re curating even more content around timber, joinery and offsite solutions.

“That means more dedicated exhibitors, more live demos, and more seminars that speak directly to joiners and carpenters – whether they’re handcrafting bespoke windows or running high‑volume production lines. The message is simple: FIT Show is your show too, and we want to make sure you leave with tangible ideas, partners and products to grow your business.”

The Installer Demo Zone will return, with an expanded focus on timber installations and best‑practice detailing, while the Marketplace will continue to offer practical tools, fixings and consumables relevant to workshop and site‑based joinery teams. For panel and joinery production professionals assessing where to invest their limited time, the numbers provide a compelling case: a visitor base with high average spend potential, 300 exhibitors, and multi‑million digital reach underline FIT Show’s role as a commercial engine for the sector.

As Andy put it: “If you’re serious about timber – whether that’s traditional joinery, modern methods of construction, or hybrid windows and doors – you need to be part of the conversation at FIT Show. 2027 is shaping up to be the most timber‑rich edition yet, and it’s a real opportunity for joiners to both give and gain: share their expertise, and come away with new ideas, partners and products.”

From its origins in 2013 to its record‑breaking 2025 edition, FIT Show has grown with the industry it serves. For timber, joinery and carpentry professionals, FIT Show 2027 represents the next step in that journey – a place where the sector’s renewed commitment to sustainable, high‑performance timber can be seen, heard and, crucially, turned into viable, profitable work on the ground.

The organisers of the FIT Show discuss last Wednesday’s Budget, and what this means for the fenestration sector.

“The Chancellor’s latest Budget signals a renewed focus on housing, regeneration and business investment – welcome news for the fenestration sector.

“With demand for windows, doors and façades expected to rise, the sector is well positioned to benefit from the measures announced. Continued investment in technology, automation, skills and process efficiencies will be key to supporting growth, speeding up project delivery, and maintaining compliance with evolving standards.

“Support for affordable housing and energy-efficient improvements should help sustain a strong pipeline of work for installers, builders and specifiers alike. Measures to ease the cost of doing business also have the potential to strengthen smaller firms, helping them adopt digital tools and boost productivity across the supply chain.

“For homeowners, the £5 billion energy efficiency scheme and the extension of 0% VAT on home upgrades – including high-performance windows, doors and glazing – make sustainable improvements more accessible. The introduction of free apprenticeships for under-25s is another positive step that should help address skills shortages and encourage future talent into the industry.

“As the UK’s flagship event for the fenestration industry, FIT Show 2027 will be a critical platform for the sector to respond to these changes.

“Our CPD-accredited content programme, live demonstrations and industry networking will help manufacturers, fabricators, installers and specifiers access the latest skills, best practice and product innovations to deliver projects faster and more efficiently.

“By bringing the entire supply chain together, FIT Show will help the market turn today’s fiscal announcements into tomorrow’s projects, partnerships and sustainable growth.”
