APS sponsors Ethan Faulkner: A rising star in motorsport

Aluminium and Plastics Systems (APS) has reaffirmed its support as a sponsor for Ethan Faulkner as he embarks on the next chapter of his motorsport journey.
In just over two years, Ethan has gone from a complete beginner to one of Northern Ireland’s top racing drivers, demonstrating extraordinary skill, determination, and talent.
Ethan began his career in a 1000cc Jedi single-seater—an entry that many deemed too risky for a 19-year-old with no prior experience. However, he defied expectations by securing a top-three class finish and placing in the top five overall out of 120 competitors in his very first race.
In 2023, Ethan upgraded to a Force PT with a full carbon tube chassis and a powerful 1400cc Suzuki engine. Once again, he impressed, remaining unbeaten in his class and setting three track records in the final three events of the season. His performances saw him outpace even top-tier competitors from a higher class across the UK.
Ethan closed his 2024 season in spectacular fashion, securing victory in his class and finishing as the second overall driver in the Northern Ireland Sprint Championship. To date, he holds an impressive five track records in Northern Ireland—an outstanding feat for any driver, let alone one so young and navigating the sport as an autistic athlete.
Now, in 2025, Ethan is taking the biggest leap of his career by stepping up to the prestigious British Sprint Championship. This ambitious move will see him compete across eight race weekends on the UK mainland, facing new circuits, seasoned competitors, and cutting-edge machinery.
While the challenge is immense, sponsor APS has no doubt that Ethan will rise to the occasion and continue to make an impact in the motorsport world.
