Aluminium Fire Systems celebrates second business anniversary

Lauren Walker, Managing Director of Aluminium Fire Systems (AFS) celebrates the company’s second anniversary, highlighting the milestone moments over the two years.

“Two years ago, what began as Fire Windows Direct evolved into Aluminium Fire Systems (AFS), a rebrand that represented more than a name change. It marked a shift in ambition, in identity, and in the standard we wanted to set for our industry.

“From the beginning, AFS was built on the belief that progress comes from consistent daily improvement. There were moments early on where it required a lot of faith, trusting the process, staying committed to doing things the right way, and focusing on becoming better every single day. That discipline has shaped who we are now.

“One of the foundations we’re proudest of is our structure: AFS is 45% employee-owned, which means our team isn’t just involved, they’re invested. That ownership mindset shows up in the quality of our work, the way we collaborate, and the culture we’re building.

“A core part of that culture is our commitment to raising standards in the industry. Over the past two years, we’ve helped shape the Fire Aware Charter and ensured our own practices align with the highest levels of compliance and transparency. We also achieved our UKCA accreditation, an important milestone that recognises the rigour, competency, and quality behind our fabrication.

“As we celebrate two years as AFS, we’re proud of the transformation, proud of the people who made it happen, and excited for what’s coming next. We have some very big ambitions for the next few years.

“The start of 2026 looks bright and we will be exhibiting at The Fire Safety event in April.”
