Manchester, because it’s such a vibrant city. I also enjoy Birmingham because it’s our home venue!

Tipple of choice:

Guinness or a real ale. Prone to the odd cocktail or two!

What’s the best thing about PiGs?

Networking and meeting fellow industry colleagues in a relaxed and friendly environment.

I love how you can be in the same room as your competitors, suppliers, customers and other industry professionals, yet all talk openly and share industry chit-chat.

What makes PiGs different from other industry events?

The friendly and relaxed nature of the event. It’s not all suits, shirts and ties. It’s basically like going down the pub with your mates!

Who’s someone you love catching up with at a PiGs event?

I class myself as quite a social person and a willing networker, as I try to catch up with as many people as possible, even if it is just for a quick chat. It’s always good to start at the bar and work your way back!

I do however love catching up with the Quickslide crew and my PiGs pal Adam (Whitehouse) from Extrudaseal. We’ve certainly had some good and entertaining nights!

Very sadly we lost a PiGs stalwart a few months back in Jason Scrivens. Jason and I had many a good PiGs evenings, which always seemed to carry on into the early hours of the next morning.

I will certainly miss him, our chats about our next camping trips to Woolacombe, Devon and Cornwall, DJ’ing and putting the world to right! Sorry Scrivo, but you never converted me to the Vodka, slimline tonic and lime…

Most memorable PiGs moment (either at an event or an event in particular)?

Am I allowed to say? Ha ha… They are all memorable in their own way. The one in Manchester during the ‘Beast from the East’ was particularly memorable!

Attendance was considerably less than usual, yet people still braved the arctic weather conditions!

The bar lasted quite a while longer too that evening! Ice cold blasts, snow and being at a standstill on the motorway on the way home sticks long in the memory.

The next day certainly felt like the longest journey ever!

More importantly, without PiGs I’d never have met so many of the amazing people within in our industry. My philosophy has always been to make the most of these occasions and do exactly what they are there for – network.

Where in the world would you take PiGs to if you could?

I know it’s already been there, but it’s got to be Vegas for me! However, it’s not about the location, it’s all about the people who are there.

Who should come to the next PiGs event (in one sentence)?

Anyone and everyone who wants to chat and network with industry like people in a less formal environment. It’s amazing how many people you end up getting introduced to during the course of these events!
