Star in the Sty: Neil Dattani

To celebrate the PEOPLE of the glazing sector who regularly support all things PiGs, we make them our Star in the STY, as a small thank you for their support. This week’s Star is AluK’s Neil Dattani! Find out more about Neil below.
Name: Neil Dattani
Company: AluK GB
Been going to PiGs since: 2024
Favourite PiGs location: Birmingham and Manchester so far, both are great hubs where AluK GB is working with fabricators and installers on a wide range of projects, so the conversations are always relevant. I’m looking forward to ticking off Bristol, Newcastle and London next.
Tipple of choice: Guinness
What’s the best thing about PiGs?
It’s a great place where you can genuinely get introduced to new people, which makes networking feel natural rather than forced.
What makes PiGs different from other industry events?
It’s informal, relaxed and genuinely friendly, exactly the kind of environment where real conversations happen.
Who’s someone you love catching up with at a PiGs event?
Rob Rigby and Anthony Rider from MACO always good industry chats with those guys.
Most memorable PiGs moment (either at an event or an event in particular)?
The standout for me has been how open and welcoming people are, it’s a great setting to represent AluK and start and build long‑term relationships. Especially when so much is done behind a screen these days it’s nice to see each other face to face.
Where in the world would you take PiGs to if you could?
It would have to be Barcelona, or anywhere in Europe. You can’t top the great food & stunning weather!
Who should come to the next PiGs event (in one sentence)?
Anyone mad enough to get into the glazing industry, because once you’re in, you can never get out, especially when companies like AluK are involved.
