MacGregor Recruitment have a great opportunity for a QHSE Manager to join and support a leading manufacturer within the window and door sector based in East Essex. This position plays a key role in maintaining and improving Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental standards across all operations.
The role is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining QHSE management systems while promoting a strong culture of safety, compliance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System Lead internal audits, supplier assessments and external certification audits.
- Ensure compliance across the site with all UK Health & Safety legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
- Conduct risk assessments, site inspections and accident/near‑miss investigations.
- Manage environmental systems aligned with ISO 14001 and support the development and maintenance of ISO 50001 energy management systems.
- Drive sustainability, waste management and energy‑efficiency initiatives across the business.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in QHSE, Health & Safety, or Quality Management within a manufacturing environment is essential
- Specific experience within the fenestration sector is highly desirable, but not essential
- Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and ISO standards.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving and leadership skills.
- Ability to influence and promote a positive safety and quality culture.
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (essential).
- IEMA or IOSH membership (desirable).
Package:
Circa £45k DOE plus 30 days annual leave inclusive of statutory, increasing with service. Health Shield Level 3 Health Cash Plan, 1 x annual salary life insurance and a service milestone bonus scheme
