Quality Champion
Main Responsibilities:
- Review quality data from the previous week and proactively investigate the reasons for failures
- Review WIP to identify quality failures, work with fabricators to identify route cause of failures and implement corrective actions.
- Identify causes of recuts, rework, and scrap.
- Collaborate with production, Quality and engineering teams to implement process improvements that eliminate waste.
- Regularly review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accuracy and relevance.
- Ensure SOPs reflect current best practices and align with quality standards.
- Work with relevant stakeholders to update and roll out revised SOPs.
- Facilitate structured RCA sessions using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone (Ishikawa), and Pareto analysis (training to be provided).
- Ensure timely closure of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
Skills and Experience:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively across departments
- Knowledge of quality tools and techniques (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA) (advantageous)
- Working knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles (preferred)
- Willingness to attend external training courses as part of personal development
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and specifications
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Experience in a quality, production, or manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with root cause analysis and process improvement
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or equivalent quality standards
