You’ll complete diagnostic inspections and hands-on repairs to windows and doors across residential, commercial and public-sector sites. Work is planned and well-structured, with clear standards and realistic expectations. You’ll be trusted to manage jobs from start to finish, without unnecessary pressure or micromanagement.

If you value:

  • Understanding the cause of a problem before fixing it
  • Doing the job once, to a good standard
  • Working independently and being trusted to deliver

this role is likely to suit you.

The Role

  • Carrying out diagnostic inspections to identify faults
  • Deciding on appropriate repairs or adjustments
  • Completing approved repairs to a professional standard
  • Ensuring windows and doors operate safely and correctly
  • Working across uPVC, aluminium, timber and composite systems

You’ll work independently on site, with support available when needed.

Who This Role Suits

This role suits engineers with solid experience in window and door repairs who are comfortable working on their own and taking responsibility for the quality of their work.

You don’t need experience with every system, but you should be confident diagnosing faults and completing repairs.

What You’ll Need

  • Proven experience diagnosing and repairing window and door systems
  • Strong practical repair and fault-finding skills
  • Hands-on experience with common hardware (hinges, locks, handles, cylinders, mechanisms)
  • Experience with uPVC, aluminium, timber or composite systems
  • Full UK driving licence and own hand and power tools

If you’re reading this and thinking “that’s basically what I do”, we should probably talk.
