AluK’s Tony Leach earns promotion

AluK’s Tony Leach, who was named the industry’s Rising Star at the G-24 Awards, has been promoted from Continuous Improvement Lead to Quality Manager at the aluminium systems company.
Tony joined AluK in 2019 as a Spray Booth Operator, but has progressed rapidly through various roles in training and continuous improvement since then on his way to this post heading up the quality team.
Tony has overseen the introduction of quality management processes such as Six Sigma in AluK’s warehouse which have reportedly delivered measurable improvements in picking accuracy and also expedited straight through labelling in the factory to highlight any orders which might be overdue and contribute to higher OTIF scores.
He will now look for other process improvements to drive further advances, as well as concentrating on maintaining the quality focused culture which he has helped to create at AluK.
Tony said: “AluK has been a great place to build a career so far and I’m very excited to be stepping up into such a key role for the business.”
Russell Yates, AluK’s Managing Director added: “Tony has already shown himself to be a Rising Star here and this is yet further evidence of that.”
